He's bringing the USC blueprint from when Carrol was there. They ran a spread-type offense.

It is a 180 from what he said a month ago. He says what fans, administrators, and media want to hear at whatever time he speaks and they lap it up.

The last couple of days reminded me that all this is similar to what just happened in the election cycle.

What? No they didn't. It was a West Coast offense. You can count on your hands the times Leinart set out of the Gun

The guy is full of shite. First he says he likes pro style qbs to run his offense. Now he says he wants duel threat in the spread.

That was the part of the presser that caught my attention. The fact that he changed his entire philosophy in a complete 180. Make up your mind what you want to be. Have an identity

with Myles Brennan coming in, the spread seems like an obvious offense since that is all he has ever played.

Maybe we end up with Gilbert and he uses brennan and Narcisse like he did his texas qbs.

I honestly think Coach O does not really know what to do with the offense. He's in way over his head and is trying to say the right thing. He's obviously being coached by Derek P on what to say and how to act in front of the media.

Y'all may laugh but I think Ponamsky is forcing him to change his philosophy

I been seeing this guys name thrown around. What does he do? I seen something like we hired him? Be easy, I'm lost on this situation.

I tell you one benefit of this coaching fiasco is it has exposed all the idiots.

Just as I think that is true one more will expose himself. So hold the boat.

And yet Bama can't seem to defend it.

Bama hasn't allowed a touchdown in two months. I'm pretty sure they can defend whatever the hell they want

Just my thoughts combined with some wishful thinking.

First off, crowton's offense was good until he had to develop a QB. Maybe miles hindered him on that, maybe not but it worked really well with a QB that was already developed.

Maybe O is assessing what works vs bama. Or what has worked against saban's defenses.

If that's the case that's a positive in itself because Miles wanted to make his way of smash mouth football work. I'm cautiously optimistic that O will be more successful than miles. But I do believe he will try to make the appropriate changes to make us competitors again.
