I realize you were joking, but you know...YES, this is exactly what I want!

I think you start by focusing on recruiting QB's from the state of Texas. Just a different level of football played in that state. So many 6A high schools where the talent level is off the charts. These QBs play against the best the country has to offer week in and week out.

The first pre-requisite would certainly have to be:
Are you willing to come play in this crappy system???
If that's a go I'm trying my hardest to figure out why.

If you need a pro style QB to run your style of offense, recruit one and then play him for goodness sake.
this
either recruit for your offense or change the offense to match who you recruited.

I'd be ok with this. It worked with Flynn, and we'll see how McMillan pans out.

Sounds like typical boilerplate you hear from coaches .... character, work ethic, attitude....yada yada yada.
How about this.
Don't bring in a spread option run/throw QB to operate inside of a predominately pro style offense. Example: You don't bring Peyton Manning in to play at Georgia Tech if you are not looking to abandon the Triple Option.
Don't recruit a guy and promise to start him or play him a lot if you are not looking for his particular skill set at QB. Don't sign him just to make sue possible rivals don't sign him. That is what it is starting to look like Miles did with Harris.
Harris is a spread option guy not a pro style under center guy. LSU has a pro style offense. Character, attitude, work ethic are not the things you need....these kids have it. It's when you try to use the player in a wrong way is what gets you in a jam.

A big problem with CLM and QB's particularly DTQB's is Miles not trusting them and using CWM pre snap

What else do you need?
Ability to hand the ball of or do a short pitch to the RB?

People get paid a lot and spent a lot of time to get the best QB prospect that is possible for your program.
Get that guy!
Get that guy!

Winners on and off the field, like usual. Just teach them and allow them to grow with confidence.
