I think a 20-30 million dollar investment to add chairbacka through, extend the canopy and seating all the way to the foul poles, build a bullpen in left field, grade out and add a berm from center to right field, that would be the easiest side to adjust for drainge, and then do a 2-3 story structure from center to left. That structure is where you show out.

Also add grills and maybe storage container spots.

Make sure everything is spread open and not cramped. Baseball crowd sizes are decreasing. If you make the game a better experience more will come.

Lots of great ideas in this thread.

I say extend the chairbacks not just to the foul poles but wrap them around into the outfield for about 75 yards on both sides. Extend covers over all those seats.

Get rid of bleachers.

Lift the roof from 1st base to 3rd base and put an upper deck over the press box and suites.

Build covered/contained bullpens.

End up with capacity around 13,000 or so.

Cool, you can pick up the missed revenue by donating a hell of a lot of extra money.

Could easily be completed in offseason.

extend the covering and awning down the line to about the ally.
This as well. I know that Lafayette Steel Erectors did the steel for the new box. This is something as well that could be completed on the offseason with realative ease.

A total refresh on the box I think is a must. LSU didn’t go bold.
I agree completely I would love a deck that extended the outfield that has a similar features and design as maybe a top golf.

Imagine this but the course is Alex box and there was chair back seats below the deck.

You could put in ceiling fans on the deck and have crawfish boil stations or grills that you could bring your own food too.

TVs with other things on like March madness.

Also you could your bar on the deck. If the SEC were being bitches about it being exposed you could put it behind a see through wall or maybe a shade cover that you could see through.

Also put in large seats and space them out. Make it comfortable.

An outfield covered deck is a nice idea. Of course, there’s the issue of the video board and the batters eye being out there. I think that issue could be solved by moving the video board above the batters eye. And using that area of the deck for restrooms,

I’d also like to see us move the bullpens. If we are going to move the outfield walls in a tad, that might give room to put the bullpens there.

Chair backs would make a huge difference
All one color as well. 100% Purple or the LSU Canary Yellow "Gold." Wall padding to match, not the tacky 10 different shades of green that's there now.

No Permanent Static Ads Anywhere. I don't have a problem with a digital video board where advertising is scrolled on and off. (I personally boycott and refuge to patronize or purchase any product or business that helps to contribute to the corporate tackiness of Tiger Stadium and Alex Box.)

How fricking hard is it to construct a solid Batter's Eye? That's all on the Athletic Dept and Head Coach.

It would be easy to continue the mezzanine deck behind the right & left field lines bleachers to the foul poles with picnic benches similar to South Carolina, above that add additional upper deck seating, club seating, which also provide covered roof for extisting foul line bleachers, remove all the bench seating & replace with chair backs.

I’ve been to all the home games using my grandstand season tickets.

Your silly StubHub tickets don’t count.

Your reaction to my “where would the money come from” post just proves how out of touch wih reality you are.

The new Box cost $38 million using bonds issued by the state of Louisiana to pay for construction. Those bonds are being retired from the ticket “donations.”

My “donation” is $200/season ticket. The gold & purple seats require a higher donation. The bonds have several more years before they are paid off.

I’m willing to pay more for season tickets to improve the Box although nothing mentioned in this thread so far would directly benefit me. I already have chairback seats with arm rests, cupholders and under the roof.

How much are you willing to hand over for improvements? And don’t say the athletic department has plenty of money. Last fiscal year the baseball program made a “profit” of $300,000. That won’t pay for the type of improvements everyone has on their wish list.
