Probably, but I think Mett showed he's not exactly incompetent as a runner

Whoever backs up Mett next year is obviously more talented, faithful, loyal, manly, and leaderish than the coaches' actual starter... So sayeth half the rant every year. So it shall be.

Sorry HD, not trying to be a dick. I am just a little pissed that CLM has given the keys to JJ and JL is now a non-factor.

As long as the QB is white, they'll be cool.

Are you high? The same, tools that have never worn a jock, but have the courage to get on an anonymous site and trash kids like Lee & Jefferson, making personal comments about players, but without the balls to do it in person have been doing the same for years....

Risher sucks, play Timmy Byrd

Wickersham's a druggie

Hodson's lost it, play Guidry

Play Sol Graves, or Moock, or Jessie or Valentine or Sparacino, or Randall or Russell or Mauck or Flynn or whoever.....

Bottom Line: Some people, like the folks your talking about, are to small minded, gutless, in-bred loosers to even understand that they know little about football and even less about right & wrong. JMHO

Do you all just move to the RBs? Which one is getting more snaps?

Yeah, that's what we used to do...

What's wrong with that necessarily? Whether you like it or not, the two qb system has been there for a couple of BCSNC years now for us and been successful (sometimes in spite of itself).

Sorry, but the expected starter is white and the expected backup is black, so the low-level race war will continue. Get used to it. I only wish we could have a white RB so that we could expand the war to that position again as well.

I'll complain about the media and ESPN's agenda to take over the world.

Yes. This one doesn't even look like it's going to be close.

So is Stephen Rivers going to transfer then because he got beat out and now he is never going to play?

Yup...I can see Randall skyrocketing in the Spring to be on par with Mettenberger come Fall. Les' reason for using JJ now is that he brings more to the table by running. Well, Mett is not really a runner, so why would he not think that Randall could bring more to the table as well? Then we'll be back to the crappy passing attack that we have enjoyed since JJ was reinstated on the throne. If we can't play a QB that can get the ball in a timely and accurate manner to the receivers, we are going to start having problems recruiting good receivers.

What a pile of horsedung.

I've been following LSU football ever since I was a kid in the early 70's. I played high school ball and I have never seen a situation like what we have between JL and JJ. Even as far back as Bert Jones/Paul Lyons, there has not been so much controversy.

While I am glad that we are winning, it is still painful to see one QB obviously favored over another without being able to see why. And by that I mean on-field performance.

As I posted elsewhere, if JL had performed the way JJ did last Saturday, I doubt that he would have gone more than 3 possessions before being pulled.

LC

I feel sorry for JL but I am certainly glad this chapter will soon be over.

And what makes you think it's going to be over after this year? Sure the names may be different, but the head coach will still be the same, and if he truly believes what he says about preferring what a "dual threat" QB option like JJ brings to the table, I can't see him changing his mind all of a sudden next year.
