much better qb play and decison making, receivers stepping up not being lazy, improved ol play. a corner stepping up to replace Mo, and better linebacking play.

An efficent QB. One that can convert 3rd downs, hit open receivers, and is a deep passing threat. Utilize all RBs in the running game to force the defense to play shallow. LSU absolutley, 100%, must have a legit deep threat on offense. We need someone to step up and take over for Rueben Randle, who was the key for the offense during the first 8 games way back when it was a good offense.

And please, let our 6 extremley talented RBs get the rushing yards - NOT THE QB.

We need to be able to pass the ball. The reason we lost to Bama was we could not do this once they stuffed the run. Some of the was game planning and some execution. Keep in mind though, that if we had played anyone other than Bama, we are celebrating the 3rd BCS title right now in my opinion.

I think it's time to move on. Mett will be the best passer we've had since Jamarcus.

Defensive talent left LSU, where is the offensive coaching? Miles = ham & cheese sandwich for offensive brain power i.e. BCS 0 pts., still doesn't get it, out to lunch.....

1. Pass rush. Pass rush creates everything - turnovers, sacks, field postiion, demoralizes the opponent, causes flustered QBs and decision-making.
2. Stout OL; esp. run blocking. A great running game will open up Mett throwing downfield to Landry, OBIII, Shepard, Clement.
3. Getting ahead in games and going for the jugular. I'd rather be accused of running up the score than letting a team off the hook and losing at the end or allowing OT.
4. Turnover margin - TM7 and the gang.

A dominant offense.

The offense was never really required to do much last year in order to win games. In fact, trying to think of a game in which it was really tested and rose to the opportunity and I can't. There was only two games in question all year in the 4th quarter and the offense was negligible or awful in both of them.

The defense definitely held it's own. Special teams were special but the offense just coasted most of the season and in some games was barely necessary. To win the big prize, the offense has to step up and prove it can win games.

NO chance for "a plus one", or anyhting else like it next year...the BCS gurrent set-up will run thru the Orange bowl BCS Champ. game of Jan. 2013. Changes will only happen AFTER that with a new contract.

I think this team will be plenty talented to win it all next season. With the comparitively easier schedule, the main challenge IMO will be to keep the intensity up for each game. Barring any major injuries at QB, this team should roll!
