Sure, they also lost. This year, we win. We are a better team with JJ at Qb and Chavis at DC. Time to quit the threads stating fire (insert coach here) and put in (insert backup here).

I almost forgot how poorly JJ ran the option in the first half. He basically stretched out every option to the sideline for the defense and made their job extremely easy.
I'd be okay if he never runs the option again. Keeps him from getting hit. Either that, or someone needs to teach him that he has to go upfield and make a defensive player commit.

Sweet, how many did Lee give up last year in the UGA game? Thanks for validating my point who cares about last year? LSU scored 38 points....should we bring that up to?
Yes, lets bring that up. LSU scored 38 pts last year...............and lost.

Simply being better than his predecessor isn't enough. He needs to be at least ten times better than his predecessor.
He needs to find a cure for cancer.
He needs to balance the national budget and erase the deficit.
He needs to end the war in Iraq.
He needs to find Bin Laden.
And even if he does all of the above, it wouldn't be enough if the team wasn't winning--
which they are right now.
Based on what I've seen posted on this board even before the season, there's nothing Jordan Jefferson can, or will ever do to recive any credit for LSU's success.
JJ gets no credit for LSU being 5-0.
JJ gets all the blame for LSU being 5-0.

Hes on track for 35 sacks, and we're just getting into the meat of the SEC. Scary.

I had that same thought (comparison to Campbell in '04 Auburn game) during the game . . . He just needs to learn to get rid of the ball faster to make up for the O-line play.

I'll leave. This thread is pointless until JJ gets a few seconds to drop back without having to run for his life.

What I cant figure out is what is more important to some of you anti-JJ people.
I thought WINNING was important. Its not enough. You want JJ to be Peyton Manning in his prime........today.
Its not going to happen. He knows that, Les and the coaches know that and the players around him know that. Whats important to me is that yes, he learns and gets better on some of the things he's doing wrong but more importantly he leads this team to victory.
This isnt NCAA FOOTBALL 10. Its real. Stats dont win games.........players do.

Now THIS I agree with. His reads need to be a second faster.
Its either his reads or anticipation that needs to improve. But I can live with that so long as he doesnt make costly mistakes.

And by your logic we're on track to win every game. Scary

I saw many plays where a defender would come unblocked right up the middle, and be in JJ's face before he could even drop back.

I think the guy is doing fine, better than I expected. Lee gets more praise and he was a F'ing disaster. If anything JJ is being overly cautious.

Have you ever played QB in organized football?
I got about 70 games under my belt.
