What will be your opinion of Les if he attempts another in-house promotion?

If Les Miles bumps up one of his current offensive coaches (or two of them) OR hires an unproven OC with the punchline being that he's going to run a "Les Miles" offense (aka not have complete control over the offense), how will you feel?

Whether or not it works out, how do you feel about this sort of gamble with this sort of season ahead?

I was excited about a new OC, because I know that a new OC would force personnel changes IF THEY WERE NECESSARY. Someone with no favorites etc, that would come in and implement their system and chose their players... but now that might not happen if Les goes a different route with the offense. I'm honestly worried about this, but am I the only one?

If it's BG then I won't really have a problem with it.

I would think that Les has a better handle on where he wants the program to go and who might be better equipped to handle that than a bunch of stupid fans. Stick to tailgating and getting drunk.

statistics probably show that whomever comes in will quickly choose their favorites based on criteria that many (most) fans won't agree with. so I wouldn't get too worked up.

a.) What has Billy Gonzales done? What has he done to our WR play since he has been here, seriously? No offense to you reader's of the rant who seemingly don't watch the games (at least not soberly) ... but BG had PERCY HARVIN and DAN MULLEN, both whom seem to be the major reasons for that BCSNC run. Not BG.

b.) Favorites, yes. Ridley this, Ridley that. Ridley left because Spencer Ware is flat out better than him, and probably isn't the only blue chip recruit (that Ridley wasn't) that would likely show him up with less than 1/2 the carries he gets.

RS - great read option qb, should not be a 1st string SEC slot for any SEC team except maybe vandy. At LSU? Are you kidding me? Kadron Boone James Wright were two true freshman that would have been better fits... and now you have Jarvis Landry... hmmmmmmm....

Jordan Jefferson - Yeah, he appeared to be the better pick at the end of the season, but would Lesly have it any other way? He was beaten soundly performance wise quite a few games in a row and still got the nod. If QBs are head cases, then no amount of pick 6's could do to JL what Leslie did to him this year.

TBob - cool guy. Really bust's his butt and tries hard, but like Lyle Hitt, he's undersized and when he went against larger Defensive lineman that really showed.

Yeah, Les Miles definitely has this secret "leadership" value that he observes and factors in with "performance" ... i call it favoritism.

Hard to blame the receivers when they never got the ball where they could catch it.

Yeah, I understand how hard it is to catch a poorly thrown pass, but in the SEC if it hits you in the hands then you should catch it.

It it's over your head or almost on the ground, even if your hands are on it, it's hard to catch the ball while in motion.

I understand you now. You are totally inadequate in everything you do and you see the people who are better at things than you are getting ahead and you are jealous. Yeah people that get the job done are usually the favorites, in sports in business, and as you well know in love.

I am not worried at all. This is Les's baby now. I am gonna at least give whoever he hires a fair shot. Les is gonna be here whether it works out or not for years to come. I am sort of resigned that regardless of the results of this hire Les isn't going anywhere. He will get enough talent to win 8 plus games a year even with no offense.
