I was thinking he was probably a decent hitter in high school so hopefully he can run into one. After his first swing I thought to myself, holy shite, that was a good swing. He might piss on one.

But after seeing his first cut I thought shite that looked better than some of our mainstays in the line up.

I didn't mind it, the way Peterson was dealing. Who else would we have put in and felt safe with a 1 run lead?

But I was thinking the chances of us trying to do something crazy, by forcing some kind of throwing error, was more likely than Peterson getting a hit. I seriously doubt they even try to throw out a runner stealing at 2nd though, but after seeing Ole Miss today anything can happen.

I was wondering why USCe didn’t walk the guy before him and try to get him into a bases loaded forced out situation

That right there is a great question. And since it wasn't CPM who fricked up that bad, nobody is asking it.

There were plenty of hitters on the bench. Only Beau and Coomes had been used.

Like who? Webre was burned as a pinch.

Walker asked it in the post game show.

My roommate (I live in CO now) isn't much of a baseball fan, but he is starting to learn from watching LSU.

I was laughing really hard when they showed Peterson trying on helmets, and explained to him why it was funny.

All I said, and thought was, "this would be such a baseball thing to have happen if he hits a homer right here". And damn, he was close

When? If he was, I missed it.

And regardless, Reid for one.

Paul, are you freaking crazy?

Then TP took that 1st swing, then a ball, and I knew he was going to put something play, never imagined anything like that, it was awesome.

You don't understand baseball don't you? It's called showing up a team putting a pitcher up there to bat. You must be an Astro fan and watch too much National League or little league baseball.

When he went out to bat I knew it was for him to pitch in the bottom half of the inning. Any baseball guru would know what’s going on at the point in time. But most of y’all tards didn’t have a clue

Wtf lol no. Not in that situation. We put the pitcher in there because he was dealing and we just got the one run lead. There was no disrespect. You’re being a tool.

We would've pinch hit Reid if they had walked Cabrera. Peterson only got to bat because we already had the lead.

Lol. You are even dumber than I thought.

In no way, shape, or form, was that showing up USC. It was LSU gambling by taking a 1 run lead into the bottom half, while having confidence in Peterson to hold that lead (or having no confidence in any other pitcher to hold it).

But what you are saying is to hit the pitcher, who is batting, on purpose to load the bases, and bring a regular hitter to the batter in that situation. Do all that rather than pitch to the dude who hasn't swung a bat once all season?

Please don't disappear like the little bitch you are, and come back and defend this one. PLEASE!!

Webre came in to run for Bryce in the 9th I believe and then Coomes came in to play 1st.
