I was excited. I thought Miles would get out of his way & let him run a good offense. Oops

Miles was a noose around the offenses neck.

People were happy that we were bringing an NFL coordinator who supposedly had a track record of developing multiple qb's. I was a little dubious of him because of how he was forced out of Baltimore in the middle of the season that year. Otherwise I didn't know that much about him, but I let other people's positive vibes make me feel a little optimistic.

Cam Cameron had the luxory of coaching LaDainian Tomlinson in his prime. Other than that he didn't do squat.

The Ravens have perpetually been one of the worse, most boring offenses in the NFL, especially under his tenure.

To be honest, at the time of the Cam Cameron hire I thought it was going to be a good move because the word was that he had a history of developing quarterbacks, and I thought that since he and Miles were close friends, Miles would trust him to run the offense without meddling. As it turns out, it really was a disastrous hire. At least Miles made a great hire with Dave Aranda.

At the time of the hire, it seemed like a solid get for LSU. Cameron is well respected in all NFL circles around the league. He has contributed to the development of Drew Bree's and Phillip Rivers, and Drew Bree's acknowledged this when the hire was made.
I believe he may have made mistakes with our QB's in trying to teach too much instead of trying to make it a simple effective and productive offense while here.
Matt Canada has said his offense is very simple and utilizes the talents of the players he has. Looking forward to the future and forgetting about what did not happen with Cam Cameron, and what will happen with Matt Canada.

I was very optimistic when he was hired. hell, his resume was probably the best of any OC we've ever had. it did not take long for me to realize the truth tho. as time went on, I felt he was a cancer to the coaching staff and he was a terrible OC. imo, if miles had fired his arse and hired a good OC and let him do his job he could have saved his job. no matter, I think we have a good one now.

ith a few wrinkles and some different plays here and there, the offense basically looked the same from 2005-2016.

The offense was way different with Crowton.

I was happy about it, and naively thought that, given their history, Les would completely entrust the offense to him. Whoops.

I didn't hate the hire at all. I still think he was the scapegoat fire. I like the Canada hire better but I believe Cameron was handcuffed by Miles. JMO

I remember my dolphins fans friends laughing at me when I had the same opinion as you on this.

this place adored the hire because he coached NFL qbs...they automatically assumed top qb's would be fighting for a spot on the roster...funny shite

I said it would be the same (Miles offense) and had plenty of down votes.

no he didnt drew brees developed drew brees along with other assistants. cam cant develop a 3 yr old to learn how to eat food or learn in a class room, if you cant develop a college kid at qb or any good at offensive coordinator. ummm wake up dude, you not that dumb. cam needs a new job, and developing a qb or offensive coordinator is not it
