every regular season game in 2011.

Sure the NC game was probably one of the lowest points in my life

But the rest of that season was just wild excitement.

Also standing next to my Auburn grad friend in at the 2015 game and watching Fournette break his spirit was awesome.

Watching LF7 terrorize Auburn's secondary last year was a raucous good time.

Seeing Fournette have one of the best single seasons in SEC rushing history. Miles pulled him instead of letting him get 2k in 12 games.

After seeing a lot of people respond that their favorite moment in the last 5 years was something from the 2011 regular season, I've been inspired to come up with some of my own favorite memories from the past 5 years.

1) 1958 National Championship
2) 2003 National Championship
3) 2007 National Championship
4) November 25th, 1893 - LSU plays its first football game
5) Billy Cannon winning the 1959 Heisman Trophy

I think if we're talking just the past 5 years, these are definitely some of the best moments in LSU sports. Sorry that my list is all football, but that's the sport I'm the biggest fan of.

None of them . . . that's the joke. Because the 2011 regular season also happened more than 5 years ago. Did you really not get that?

TM7. He was the most electrifying player in the NCAA within that time frame by a longshot.

Les getting fired was pretty much just Alleva handling another situation poorly. Alleva has done a great job of embarrassing the program.

LSU has maybe the greatest season in its history, but your favorite moment is the coach getting fired 5 years later?

You are definitely an LSU fan.

Yes, he is an LSU fan. A fan that can see that, since 1/9/12, our beloved team was clearly going the wrong direction. And the coaching philosophy was troubling to witness.

So yes, picking Les' firing as the top moment isn't surprising. It was very, very good for the long-term health of the program, and there's nothing wrong with someone recognizing that.

not to be picky, but the magical 2011 football season (and the Honey Badger) were more than 5 years ago, so they don't qualify for the OP's question.

Fournettes game against AU in '15

This.

I'll remember that game for the rest of my life. Just physically dominated their entire defense.

I still get chills watching highlights of that game.

I agree with you, the firing of Les Miles was the most momentous moment for me related to LSU sports in the last 5 years.
