I said the exact same thing to my coworker. Sure Bama has always been good, But I have never seen as many "fans" as I have over the last 3-4 years. Especially here in GAINESVILLE Florida.

Sound like a typical "Bama fan" to me. They don't know shite, they just know they're on top. It's hilarious how many baMA fans there are and I guarantee you 50% of them couldn't find tuscaloosa on are map, much less been there. It's really pathetic.

That’s what winning does. There’s actually a large amount of real fans that aren’t arrogant or rude. It’s just extremely hard to distinguish them from the sidewalk ones.

People like a winner. What’s so hard to understand about that?? You can tell a lot about a person by which team they like and if they stick with the same team from day one. A lot of people just abandoned their old team and started liking them it’s taken off like a wildfire.

I'm a Cowboys fan but I grew up in DC. People always gave me a hard time about being a bandwagon fan (the Cowboys basically have been unsuccessful in my lifetime outside of 1995 but whatever). I'm a Cowboys fan because my grandpa was and I was around him a lot growing up. He doesn't have a connection really at all to Texas other than I'm sure they were on a lot in rural Illinois/Indiana when he was growing up/raising my dad and his brothers. That and the fact that my Grandpa's dad was a Navy man and my grandpa loved Roger Staubach so that carried over to the Cowboys. And I've never ever rooted for another team my entire life. So even though I'm not "from Dallas", I feel secure in my Cowboys fandom and its not just because they're 5 time Superbowl champions or America's Team.

In 1982 4 of us went to Starkville where John Bond led MSU to a close victory over our highly ranked Tigers. When we got in our car after the game...a bunch of rednecks surrounded us..kicking and rocking our car while cursing us out. I’d hate to see what they would have done if we had beaten them

A few mullet-head Bears fans talking shite about Katrina at Soldier Field at the NFC Championship game. It started with "we should play Rock You Like a Hurricane because we're going to finish what Katrina started" and kinda went downhill from there.

I watched one of my buddies bitch slap an Alabama fan after LSU beat them in Tuscaloosa over near sorority row - then said Alabama fan cried and said "do you know who my dad is - he's a sheriff"

I actually got into a fist fight here in gainesville with a Gator fan because right after Mike died, he was walking around with a plastic Tiger skeleton hanging from its neck. All i said was that it was disrespectful and he swung on me.. It's safe to say I won.Atleast thats what my buddies told me. Once it was broken up I yelled "GO TIGERS MF!" it was dope.

2003 vs UGA. I was walking to my car and this Georgia fan tried to use the port-o-let by my car so I had to tip it over when he went in.

I’m leaving the club level, on 1/9 with a pint glass full of crown and sprite, and this bama fan decides to shove his keys in my face. I ripped the pom-pom out his other hand and threw it towards the trash can. It rimmed out and he said “y’all can’t get anything right”, so I threw the entire drink and cup at his face, hitting bullseye, all the Superdome employees laughed and I left the dome.
Didn’t need another drop of liquor at that point, so the drink meant nothing. Thinking back, I laugh about it, but I shouldn’t of come to that point.

Away game to la tech.

Drunk frat man.. His gf slowed him.

His team won. Led by future nfl qb. won 15-14 on last drive.
Outs. Over and over. Moved chains. Drunk frat gloated but no violence due to them pulling out thrilling pro style win..

Pretty tame I know.

After game of the century an old Gump woman outside the stadium, after telling me and my family to frick ourselves, said " You just keep grinning, we are gonna beat your arse in Atlanta for the SEC championship". I just kept walking, no sense in even attempting reason with that.

Complete fabrication by the story-teller.

Maybe, but I have met opposing fans like this. They are always the what I call sidewalk fans. They are not real fans and know nothing about their team. They see a team winning a lot so they slap a sticker on their car and put on a t-shirt and are suddenly life long fans of that team.

A Tulane fan was pulling out of his driveway and had some choice fightin words for the baw LSU fan next door neighbor. The insulted LSU fan spritzes some hose water at the Tulane fan. The Tulane fan promptly stops his truck, grabs his pistol, gets out of his truck and shoots the LSU fan dead with one shot.

That was a pretty dumb run in with a rival fan.
