Mett had better improve his accuracy with the blocking he had Sat. or we might get to see Rivers

Les finally.... kept doing what he was doing. They executed better. The only coaching changes I noticed were slightly different 3rd down play calls.

Improved play calling on the offense - finally Les

Its amazing how good execution makes plays look like a good call. We just executed the offense. This is why Les doesnt change, because if we play right, it works.

no he didnt.

He may not have listened to the Rant, but it looked like someone who shares our views had his ear for a while. And let's face it, some of the ranting here was shared by a lot of people.

it really didnt lok much different at all. WRs just held on to the ball and the line blocked.

The wide receivers held on - Yes, definitely.
The O-Line - so this game they just executed better? Who is responsible for that? Some of the "posi"-tards were saying that we didn't have an O-Line that was capable last week. They looked pretty capable on Saturday. Plus, I think that the up-tempo offense early on helped them a bunch.

The play calls were different especially before the INT and we didn't stop in the "check with me" that I noticed. The short yardage non-wildcat with Ware under center looked awesome!

If Les listened to the rant we wouldn"t win 5 games a year.

obviously, us.

Les was wanting them to block worse until we set it straight.

Can we tell Mett to not throw it in row 3 on the fade? It appears he has been taught to do it that way. We must address.

it's called execution and it really is that simple.

quote:

3. Passing - Mett need to improve general accuracy/speed and redzone throwing. His passes hardly have any air so they need to be more accurate.

Mett needs to improve redzone recognition and our receivers need to run precise routes and get separation. still a work in progress...a weapon at TE would really help. the kid from PSU comes to mind....tall, fast and very athletic. of course, that would require Studs/Krags to think outside the box....hope, hope.

Les was right all along too. It was the same game plan minus the drops and mistakes. Execution is the difference between winning and losing

Actually, we put a new RB in there for significant snaps. He broke the long one...even though LSU basically dominated, they still might have lost without that. Hill made some plays on calls that normally wouldn't be effective. And of course, the O-line played great.

It has been successful on about 2 of 30 tries this year (successful meaning actually gaining a yard).

Thanks Jeremy Hill...

Some people make me laugh. The play calling was no different than weeks past. Honestly, the play calling was't great. Especially setting up for a field goal after Reid's interception.

If the play calling is good, why are 104th in the NCAA in the red zone?
Even agaisnt lesser teams like Towson , Idaho, AU and Washington, you can't will your way into the end zone with predictable calls against a nione man front.
The fade atttempt was a step int he right direction, but, yes, was poor;ly executed.
1. Poorly executed plays tend not to work , even if the call is brilliant..
2,Ill conceived calls, well executed also tend not to be successful. (see red zone discussion , above)
Proper execution of well schemed plays CAN occur simultaneously.
