Almost $40m of the budget comes from tickets sales. About 25% of total revenue
Yeah. Losing say $10m would be a big fricking deal.
Let’s say 10.000 tickets don’t get renewed next year. Who is going to come in to swoop in for those? I am going to keep going to games, but there are a shite ton of people who are looking to protest about a shite ton of stuff that is going on in this country. You probably disagree with them and that is your right. But a lot of people on the Right want to stick it to the powers that be and this serves as their pink pussy hat protest
You don’t really think they are going to let Covid go away in an election year?

I think the season ticket holders kept them in hopes that the show your papers will be over with in time for Auburn. At the rate cases and hospitalizations are plummeting, we should be back to no restrictions in 1-2 weeks. And they all expect this nonsense to be over by next season.

Then you will be bitching and moaning in a few years when LSU falls behind the big SEC programs in terms of revenue.
This will 100% hurt the program both due to revenue and the detriment to recruiting. The GameDay atmosphere is one of our biggest attractions but it's not our fault this is happening. LSU is getting what it's asking for.

In the stats sheet they listed the attendance as 92,437. That's got to be tickets sold. Can't be anything else.

Correct, and about 9,000 off from 101k avg from 2 years ago.
9,000 X let’s say $75 average (probably light with club tix) = $675,000 lost revenue.
As others mentioned only 55k in the stands the concessions are taking a beating. I promise Woody and Tate are discussing behind the scenes as this isn’t in the budget.

Is "mellow dramatic" kinda like "passive aggressive"?

I was offered a total of 14 free tickets from various ticket owners Friday. That’s NEVER happened to me before.

They’ve ruined tailgating. You have to show papers to get into something you paid for. And the product is shite. Yet you wanna blame fans for bitching??? Just WOW.
How have they ruined tailgating? We still have a good time at our tailgate. Yesterday's tailgate was harder because of the rain not LSU.
The papers thing is a joke, they barely check
The product last night was good
I would guess about 50-60K last night. We had a good time last night also

You are so damn obtuse. What freaking part of this do you not understand?
We just need 2 weeks to lower the curve.
We just need a few months of masks & social distancing.
We just need the vaccine and life can go back to normal.
We just need masks & vaccines for a few more weeks
We just need vaccine mandates to lower the spread.
We just need a booster to help assist with vaccines.
It’s NEVER ending until we lose all our rights & freedoms as long as people like you continue to comply.

Pathetic showing but the season ticket holders
LSU is responsible for the lack of attendance. Look at all the stadiums across the country. LSU’s stupid Covid policy is causing this. LSU is the only SEC school requiring a proof of a jab or a negative test within 72 hours of kickoff. It is expensive and inconvenient and serves no damn purpose at all. Look at Penn State last night or damn near any other stadium around the country and they all have large crowds but LSU and the Woke Boys are going to cost LSU millions of dollars for their political crap.
The Board Of Supervisors needs to get involved. This policy is just idiotic.

The BOS and the administration are the problem!
I’m sorry, but anyone that thinks this is just a weak team/COVID thing is foolish. Of course, all of it plays into the problem, but it is a systematic failure of culture by the university.
It won’t get better until they decide to make it better and the firing of coaches will only be a bandaid, even if it’s warranted with losses/title 9.
We will see…..

Yep and they are the ones who are going to feel the financial heat and have to change. They are going to have to change the policy. Money is going to talk.

I think LSU shouldn’t be woke! And let all those black players go play for another school.

There are NO hotel rooms for out of towners. Got the boot last weekend and for fun I looked at booking this weekend just to see and there were NO rooms left. A friend of mine also lost their room last 2 weeks because of all the utility workers. For the most part everyone supposed to be back on the grid in the surrounding areas so Auburn weekend should be normal. I have mine booked and never got an email saying they can’t honor it. So what you are pretty much seeing is a NO Vacancy issue!!!

Unfortunately with their contract with Aramark, they get a guaranteed amount no matter how much is sold or isn't. So they aren't even feeling the hit as much there as they would have a few years ago
