What Wade did tonight for LSU will resonate for years

He stood up for his school and program as a first year head coach of a team that wasnt expected to do shite this year.
This bitch at ULL saw an opportunity to try and make LSU basketball irrelevant earlier this week when he spoke about facilities and the "gym". He went entirely out of his way to trash LSU basketball. To Will Wade that was a challenge to him as a coach and leader of this program moving forward. Make no mistake about it.
Wade took it personal because it was personal. It was a shot at LSU and its fans and program as being nothing.
Wade has a hunger to not only be successful at LSU, but to win a fricking championship. As an LSU fan I did not realize what we were getting with Wade. I know now, and it has me more excited as I have ever been about the future of LSU basketball. This guy's future is bright as anyone in our athletic department in any sport.
This game and the lead up will be a marker we will not soon forget. For tonight, Wade and LSU became one. He took the challenge made to our program and himself and will use it as morivation to prove all these naysayers wrong.
Gawd damn im glad to see LSU basketball headed where it is going.

I just hope we keep him happy and he stays here for a long long time, he can build us into a consistent winner and maybe even a title contender

I literally couldn't like Will Wade anymore if I tried. No homo.
I love it when he gets fired up and starts yelling into the crowd.

Agreed. I watched last 5 mins of game from far away and caught up on drama later. This is great

It's seriously so refreshing to see a hoops coach have intensity on the sideline instead of the dead fish we had for the last decade...

I will be in Baton Rouge next season with season tickets.
Im sold on this man. He is genuinely obsessed with being great. His desire to make something great is real. And, he will get it done.
Next season I fully expect to see LSU in the Sweet 16 or better. There wont be many teams as talented as we will be across the board. It is going to be arse rape city. And with this guy leading the ship? SHEEEIT is all I have to say.

Will Wade will win 2 or 3 national titles at lsu and, starting next year, will never lose more than 7 games in a season.
I truly think he will leave LSU with the highest winning % of any coach in any sport at this school in history.

Look, I love the guy and think he'll be one of the best coaches LSU has had in any sport, but winning a title requires some sort of luck too in the Tourney... I think he can do it, but I'd be happy with just one, much less 2 or 3

Well, glad to see you like LSU basketball to the extent of a 1000 word paen to all that’s LSU holy. I hope you’re “celebrating” 2 years from now. If so, I’ll be with you and will be eating crow. But, I don’t think we’re going anywhere fast.

We have the number 3 recruiting class in the country coming in next year that includes 3 five star players. And we'll still have Tremont Waters. Our starting 5 will be one of, if not the most talented in the conference. And this is year TWO with Wade.

And guess what? If y'all wouldn't have played UL tonight, you may never have realized this type of atmosphere and intensity was possible under Wade. This is what many are trying to say... UL and LSU playing every year just makes sense. The hatred and intensity sells tickets, is ridiculously entertaining, and makes for exciting basketball. And Cajun fans travel very well for a mid-major.
I said it in another thread and I'll say it again... make us play in BR every year for all I care. Keep calling us little brother. It's hilarious and entertaining. But for God sakes, let's keep playing this series. Why not? You win every time anyway right?

What makes you think we arent going anywhere?
We overachieved already this season.
Next season we have immensely more talent and if things atay linear we go exponential.
Help me out why you are so pissy.

It's scary what he's done in what, 11 months? He was hired in late april/early march of last year right?
Also, pointed it out today, Will Wade in one season matched the postseason win totals of Johnny Jones and Trent Johnson at LSU... And both of those were over 5 year spans

But I have seen that intensity in the early 90's. The Center was LIT when we played the likes of Duke and Loyola. Place was buzzing.
What I am referencing is that Wade dis not back down and he showed he is 100% committed to makikg this basketball program respectable nationally.

Message board posters don't have the authority to schedule our basketball games.

Maybe WW is reading this. Hey coach!

You realize how really unlikely that is correct. Having 3 NC would put him in the same league as Roy Williams, Bobby Knight and Jim Calhoun. Would love for it to happen but let’s let the guy get through next year before we crown.
Our fickle as frick fans will be ready to run him this time next year if he gets bounced after 1 in NCAA.

What we have in Wade makes me really wonder how the frick Orgeron is still walking around campus.

I really wish y'all were better at being "little brother". But, you're not. I wish being little sister had a bit more credence to it.
USL gives little sister a bad name.
