how about good joints for BBQ?

There is Sonny Bryan's, I don't think it's all that great but it's sort of world famous, locally known.

Any good sports bars that i need to see?

Frankie's and The MAT are the only two I can think of...neither are that particularly impressive.

is Anthony's BBQ still there?

Also, if in Dallas, eat some Mexican at Mattito's...then go to Cabaret Royale...

The Loon is the Dallas version of Freds. Lemon Bar in West Village, The Social House. Ghost bar above the W is overrated

On the west side of Dallas there is an area called the West End that has all of the restaurants and clubs. Plenty to do. We went there on business every three months for years. Try thr Butcher Shop Steakhouse and about 15 others. Try DallasWestEnd.org and Google. Plenty to do, eat, and drink. There's dance clubs too. [Country]

My wife just reminded me that Dallas Alley is a choice for a group of bars and clubs. We went there when younger. Saw Stevie Ray Vaughn back then, George Strait, Ray Charles, and The Fabulous Thunderbids.

Don't ever compare The Loon to Fred's. Ever.

Go to the Stockyards in Fort Worth, and Sundance Square. Stay out of Dallas.

Play Dallas national. It's one of the top 100 courses in America. If you belong to a private club your pro might be able to call and get you on. If you have a lot of swag play Brooke hollow, it's a tillinghast design that's harder to get on than a hot bartender. Tour 18 is fun and tpc las colinas is amazing also. Matt kuchars teacher Chris Oconnell teaches in Plano and is available for a golf lesson and was featured in golf digest this month, he is legit! Babydolls to finish it all off.

Eat at Nate's in Addison. Amazing Cajun food.

Are you coming to the game, Dan? that's literally about a half mile from me. And Nate's is great, but if you're coming to Dallas... why eat Cajun food?

Go to Manny's and get some Tex-Mex.

And defintely see Drive by Truckers at the Granada. And for the love of God, don't go to lower Greenville. It sucks. If you like quirky, go to the Bishop Arts district or Deep Ellum. If you're a little snootier, go to Uptown. If you're a family, stick to Addison or the restaraunts on upper Greenville.

ETA: And you shouldn't compare the Loon to Fred's. The Loon is much, much, much better. But you will get very drunk.

Most lsu fans around here will be on McKinney at either lemon or trophyp
