Eat any type of food your heart desires.
See any type of entertainment your heart desires.
Watch the fighting Tigers play football.
Gfys.

Eat BBQ! Corkscrew BBQ has received a Michelin star 2024 or 2025. The line is worth the wait it is just for a downtown Houston old town, Spring Texas.

For those people who somehow think that Houston is the BBQ capital of the world, it’s not even the BBQ capital of Texas. These days Austin is, with Franklin, La Barbecue (Michelin Star), LeRoy and Lewis, Interstellar and Stiles Switch.

But I really dislike pappadeauxs
Yeah, and they used to be really solid. We had one that was a quick on/off the freeway near Sugar Land. Wife and I would split a fried crawfish tail salad. Huge with a great remolaude type dressing. They changed the dressing, then changed salad items, then took it off the menu.
Quality overall went way down from what I heard. Its weird as Pappa’s chain has been pretty solid overall. As mentioned, the steakhouse on Westhiemer is outstanding by any measure.

Folks in Mamou put tomatoes in their gumbo. Just not potato salad on top.

If you can’t find things to do in Houston, you must be dead man walking. Have you tried Google?

Avoiding getting murdered.

Houston is known for 3 cuisines
Houston is the most diverse city in the US. While I don’t necessarily celebrate diversity as some virtue signal, I acknowledge that if you want authentic ANY cuisine it can be found here.
