You really don't understand what he's saying? Basically get off your feet, rest up, and focus on what you have to do tonight.

Pretty simple advise actually.

Made sense to me.
Before the most stressful athletic events I ever had when I was young, I took a nap.

Holy shite. Has Miles discovered...

A UNIFIED WANT 'EM THEORY?

I can translate:

While each player needs to make the decision to give it his all (i.e. individualized want), in that decision he finds the motivation (e.g. lifetime opportunity) and aligns this want with that of his teammates', who are coming to the same realization, at the same time; a unified want.

Damn you, now I'm crying. I didn't understand Shakespeare and Miles is the same way. Does LSU offer a Miles class?

Relax and enjoy the moment, stop worrying about the outcome.

Focus on the game, get motivated to do something that is a once in a lifetime opportunity because the other team will be just as motivated to do the same.

It took me paying attention to his speeches this season to finally "get him". Once you can read between the Miles-lines, it's crystal clear.

Yet, it should all focus. When you are preparing for something that's significant, will provide you with significant lifetime memory, you need to qualify your want to participate, and it's a personal decision. And I think that if you see a team that's maybe a little bit, you know, within their own thought, that that's what they're doing. And I've kind of suggested that's the way to go.

My only question is when did "want" become Miles favorite word? I've heard him say that word more than any other word this year! It works though, his team plays like hell for him. They WANT it!

In the next 32 hours I want them to relax and get off their feet. You can't play the game until you play the game.

Translation: They're physically prepared. Time to get in a little R&R before the game.

Translation: Gut check time. If they want it, they'll be focused.

I told them to keep their eyes on the prize, and they are. They seem focused.
