Can we not sub John Pearson for Braswell in the lineup?

Curiel
Dickinson
Frey
Hernandez
Milam
Stanfield
Brown
Jones
Braswell

At this point, the order doesn't matter too much with how poor the clutch hitting has been. Just give the top three as many at bats as possible.

I have a feeling Jay will go with his veteran Pearson over Brown tonight.

I like Stanfield at 9. It creates another lead off hitter at times and he gets on base a good bit setting up an RBI opportunity for Cruiel and Dickinson.

+1. That's the lineup that we can score 6-8-10 runs routinely.

I agree, don't punish Stanny for Jones' slump.

I like this lineup but for Braswell being in it at all. Maybe Jones at 7 in case you get some base runners and he can actually come out of his slump to move them. Maybe flip Milam and Hernandez to get the best hitting guys in the first five slots . Without knowing OBP I cannot say for sure but I’d be trying to go 1-3, 5-7 and 9 with guys likely to get on base then put hot hitters or power in 4 and 8.

It’s Reaves or Pearson at 3B, depending on which guy I trust more to field the position. Braswell is in a season-long slump and is a liability at the plate, he never walks or hits

Looks good but would insert Pearson instead of Brown if facing a lefty

8. Belle R RF
9. McClure R 3B

Cresse is the catcher unless you can have '91 CWS Gary Hymel for a full season. I'm going with Tommy White over McClure but not going to lose sleep over it.

Brown will not start tonight. CJJ starts Josh Pearson in right.
