What outcome would actually put PM on the hot seat?

I feel like CPM is falling right behind Les Miles. He won a championship early in his career then just coasted. Both coaches are great recruiters but lacked the ability to get the best out of the players.

CPM has continued to pack Alex Box and has won on a consistent basis. The only thing he is lacking is championships.

What outcome would actually make his seat start to feel warm? I just don't see LSU going separate ways, almost feels like the relationship they had with Skip.

Hiring an AD that cares a little more about winning...oh wait, we already have that.

So I’d say it’s only a matter of time before sweet-lips is gone.

Alex box isn't packed. Tickets are sold but it's a ghost town.

Failing to host a regional this year and doing the same next year

He has consistently stayed on top of the SEC. How many SEC championships has he won? How many SEC tournaments has he won? How many times has he been a national seed? How many times has be been to Omaha?
Just keeping this conversation honest.

Josh is right, not hosting 2 years in a row is a big no no. If we don't host a regional this year, NEXT season he'll be coaching for his job IMO.

We are in a real bad rut right now. I'll give him the season before I swing my hammer, but it's not looking good as it stands now.

Agreed. Pulmonary can be very successful at LSU with the right assistant coaches. I believe the last 3 years we have lost to the eventual National Champion in the postseason

PM isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I do think you’ll see staff changes after this season though.

I get your frustration but realistically you’re not going to run off a coach with PM’s resume just yet.

He would basically have to miss regionals back to back years for his job to come under question. I know this season hasn’t gone according to plan but compare his resume to the field and it’s almost laughable.

There are only a few coaches I would say are an upgrade over CPM at the college level and they aren’t leaving where they are currently at.

Wish he had gone to texas....he has lost the confidence of the fan base and hosting a regional this year is only a dream

If he has another season like this next year his seat will be hot hot. 3 straight seasons of mediocrity shouldn't be tolerated in LSU baseball

If the season continues on it’s current trajectory, his seat will be hot next year.

He also had a later championship appearance which he lost to a conference rival.

ETA: If we're talking parallels, maybe that's what broke him.
