What others don’t get about CLK

Everyone acknowledges that CLK has always had a special football mind which is why he’s had more chances than many other coaches usually get. It’s always been his personal life that’s held him back.
Every other fan who has followed LK’s career thinks he’s the same man he was then. They think that people don’t grow up over time or learn from their mistakes, even as adults. They can’t fathom it.
He’s learned a lot over the years from many great coaches, not the least of whom is Saban. I think that’s who taught him his most important lesson: how to be professional.
For those other fans, he’s still Joey Freshwater and always will be. If he’s changed and has his personal life in order, his ceiling is sky high and that frightens them.
LSU is an institution of second chances and growth, like CEO, Joe Burrow, and others. It brings out the best in all those who take it seriously. For those who don’t take it seriously, it’s the end of the line (I’m looking at you BK).
All this scares every fan, commentator, coach, and team out there. And I’m here for it!

Did he reconcile with his wife? I know part (if not most) of his problems in that regard came when his family didn’t move with him where all that happened

CLK is blessed/cursed with a touch of the ‘tism as well as OCD. Unless properly directed, the “C” part of OCD can take over. He’s focused now and it shows.

You are right on! For some reason, good old Christian Grace and forgiveness is too absent from too many of our operating quivers!
For me, when I saw that he had gotten sober, is public about it, and then watched how he “on boarded” himself at LSU, I became more and more impressed with him! He is the real deal! Let the new Lane be the new Lane!
He and his presence will turn the whole state around! The man is real and that good!

She is in BTR but Idk if they are officially back together. They are both very active in their daughters life though and she is in BTR all the time because of her mom also being there and obviously her bf lmfao

The biggest change in his entire life…
He’s sober now.
Take it from someone who’s 14 years sober. His brain, his thinking, his temptations, have all drastically changed. He’s a new man that’s had a large part of his personality, change

I think having a stable home life, his kids, etc. will keep him grounded. That’s very important.
Ol’ Cookie will keep him on his toes. He always seems to be near.
