It's pretty embarrassing when you put two tackles on one side then run to the opposite, and the rent a win team you brought in stuffs the run for a loss on the play

Paul Johnson basically all but called Les Miles an idiot before the Peach Bowl, so it does happen.

Yeah, we played the weakest SEC schedule in like 15 years and finished waaaaaay back in the pack offensively. I'm sure they were real worried about facing our offense this year.

Are you serious Little Boy? I guarantee you that you’re not as old as me.
Here is what his offense did and BTW by O supporter words we had offensive line injuries that cost us wait.
We can’t have our cake and eat it too? WTF are you saying? This dude is a great coordinator.
Here are some facts for you little boy:
You can’t judge an offense after a partial season - yep Orgeron to his own admission said he fricked with the offense early in the year.

Here is what Canada’s offense DID:
1. Danny Freaking Etling
- He’s one of just five to throw for 2,000 yards in consecutive seasons,
- one of 10 to crack 4,000 career yards and is second
- set the highest mark ever for an LSU QB In Int ratio and Number 2 all time in the conference.
- Number 12 in effenciency in the Nation.
- Number 5 in yards per completion in the Nation.
2. The offense turned the ball over only 8 times this entire season - tied for the best in the conference with Bama. Ironically, 4 of those was against Troy.
3. Thy averaged 28 pts a game.
4 Put up yards against Bama despite the loss and won all those games in the last 3/4 of the season when it was clear MC was calling the games.

It takes time to install this offense and we still didn’t see all of it.

I'm not even going to argue with you, you weirdo. I'm an etling fan, loved the guy's toughness, but he was highly limited and cost us against bama. I feel sorry for you. You claim to be old, yet you act like an emotional kid.

Says the guy who said this to another poster.

My point is Orgeron supporters were crying early in the year that the offensive and defensive lines were thin, Guice was injured and we had to play all these freshmen. That’s why we looked bad and were out of sync, etc. YET it was Orgeron himself that admitted to screwing with the offense when Alleva sat him down. He couldn’t lie with MC in the room. Hell a blind man could see the difference when MC started calling plays and we got players back. It also happened to coincide with the weak part of the schedule, which helped build confidence.
AU game built confidence for these guys. Then they started to believe in the system. Mover the ball well against Bama included. Just couldn’t finish drives.

You shitted on Canada, but left out the facts that this guy is an excellent coordinator WHEN HE WAS LEFT TO DO HIS JOB WITH A COMPLIMENT OF PLAYERS!

We were out coached by Saban without 4 starting LBs. That’s what cost us the Bama game. God help us next season.

Front 7 was thin due to injuries and targeting ejections

O line was very young

Hard to beat anybody when that happens

Seriously I trust a seasoned DC who has to scheme against this system over some fat fool on here that doesn’t know what a 3 Tech or a Shade is

people believe these types of quotes when it fits their agenda and ignore them when they don’t.

I remember when the Saints had Carl Smith, and Mora said that other coaches are always telling him how Smith created so many matchup problems for them.

He created matchup problems, but very few yards and points.

I hate the word gimmick. First of all, it's in the eye of the beholder and relative. Secondly, is it based on being conventional or effective? Most here seem to do exactly what you said... apply when it suits them and don't when it doesn't.

Under many poster's definition (when it fits the narrative), Aranda's defense is gimmicky and a RPO is a gimmick offense.

For the record, I consider myself just as guilty of apply/don't apply as anyone else. But frankly, I don't think it belongs in the verbiage. If it works, fine. If it doesn't, don't do it. I'm about net results (NOT judged on one play or game at a time).

In my book a reverse is a gimmick where a jet sweep is not. Sweeps have been a mainstay of football for years and a jet sweep makes sense, especially the way we run them close to the LoS. 1 or 2 reverses a game is not a "gimmick offense", but 7 a game is (by my relative definition). But if you run 7 a game and every one gained yards AND you ran routes/plays based on that as strategy, it is no longer gimmicky. Again, eye of the beholder.
