what motivates a fan to find every negative about LSU

their personal life may not be what they want it to be or something along those lines and they put too much of their personal emotions on the line for something they have zero control over.

So when it doesn't go as well as they may want, then they turn on the team since the team let them down and their life is back to sucking cause their football team isn't as good as they thought

I know you have been an LSU fan for
many years as I have myself so surely
you can understand the love and passion
our fans have towards our tigers. In sports
you can't win every game. There are to many
intangibles but our fans have a right to voice
their opinions and give praise but also
constructive criticism if the team isn't performing
at a high level. I don't however adhere to any fans, our or
one of our opponents, using vulgar language directed
toward a coach, team, or an institution. We are LSU!!!

People with inferiority complexes live vicariously and feel betrayed by their team losing. They always try to center the blame on one thing (the coach, the QB, the offense, the defense, or the offensive coordinator). In that way it's not the team (himself) that lost, but the one traitor.

If I'd seen your answer first I wouldn't have bothered writing my own. Very nice.

WOW. I find things negative when there is just cause. And RIGHT NOW there IS just cause. We will struggle against FLA. We may win, And we may not. A walk in the park is not even a question. I wish I was wrong but I doubt I am.

i just read the first page, so this may have been addressed and i hope it was.

negativity is a LEARNED behavior.
these posters were constantly criticized by someone. these negatigahs were raised by very judgemental people (either parents or maybe people who nurture and control someone thru fear.)

negativity is a result of low self-esteem. they cannot back anything that might make them feel better, so they have to negate any thing or person that is having a positive life.

the only way that these negative people can change is thru a life-changing event. maybe thru a death, a disease or a spiritual experience.

i do not hold any false hopes. these negative people are everywhere. i have seen very few change. most would have to give up alcohol.

when i realize how few can change, i up my compassion. if you think these guys are negative about lsu/miles, you DO NOT want to see what they think of themselves.

Really? Concerns about the coaching staff? Les Miles is the most successful coach in LSU history and since les was hired , LSU has won more games than any SEC school and is #3-4 in wins IN ALL OF CFB, over the last 7 years. I hate our ignorant fan base.

i understand that the team is struggling right now, i understand that the offense is out of sync, etc. but i'm not ready to hang stud, krags and miles. they are the same coaches we had last year that posted a 13-1 record.

excellent point....but the folks you're talking about only see the 1 in 13-1. they had to wait all year to bash the staff and kids and it really pissed them off because they "live" for the moment they can attack Miles, staff or the players. it is truely pathetic and it has made going to an LSU watch party a thing of the past for me. LSU has been my team for sixty years now and no one, especially the punk arse nega-everythings, will ever change that. stay the course LSUGD.

The "fans" that find something negative about LSU are miserable people every day of their lives. You either know or work with one. They whine all day everyday about everything. LSU Tigers 5-0 and headed to flo-rida for #6! Beat the gators. then come home for a big home SEC game.

I agree with this point; you have tons of assholes who seemingly live to bitch about something meant to be enjoyed. If you try to find something good about it they insult you. If you show pride in your school, they mock you. If you express any support at all for the coach, you run into clowns who act like you said you have sex with dogs. These same jackasses usually invoke "Saban" like he's some sort of deity (I'm surprised they don't genuflect and cross themselves when they say his name), apparently forgetting he chose to leave LSU after lying to his team and the fans about remaining, and also forgetting that he had one season as good as Miles' best here, and none as good as Miles' 4 next best. Not here, he hasn't.

frick the negative, hating crowd. Call me a "sunshine pumper", if you will- to me, that means I support LSU, and will always root for my favorite team

That's some stupid shite right there
OK "knowledgeable" fan. You were the same guy saying this in 08 and 09. I would agree I want them to play better right now, but "very alarming" is just plain retarded. Try not to hit your dog today negaperson

MASSIVE inferiority complex of Louisiana people.
Lack of self respect and pride
Fear of media criticism and ridicule.
Low intelligence/inability to understand how damn fortunate we are.

These are BY FAR the very best of times for LSU and it seems most fans can't just sit back and enjoy the ride

Because of our expectations of excellence. We have top of the line fan base, facilities, money backing, coaching salaries, recruits, etc

It was done that way with the intent of everything being in place to have top of the line performances on Saturdays.

Frustration sets in when you see performances that show a breakdown in teaching/coaching and a players on field actions.

Is it the coaches, YES! Even if a player is giving below expected performance, it falls back on the coaches...they either miss on the evaluation or missed on their job of getting them ready to play.

That why Miles catches so much heat...we have given him every single thing he needs to keep the program at the highest pinnacle of the sport. It is on him when we are great, but also when we are subpar. It's really a compliment to LSU that fans are so expecting of a top notch product, because those fans are the ones who sacrifice their money, alot of it, to make sure LSU has all the tools it needs to strive. ANd they have every reason in the world to voice their disappointment at times.

We will always win some and lose some...that's sports. But fans don't have to sit quiet when they see repeating issues that aren't solved...

I think Miles is a winner and a great great man and ambassador of our LSU! At the same time, there are definitely weaknesses that rear their ugly head from time to time....I am sure these will get fixed, if not, then he will hear about it.
I approve this message.

most folks who are generally negative have accomplished very little in their life, criticizing those who are successful are attempts to mask their own low self-worth.

true, as well as other southern states. Many folks are well-versed at playing the victim role. Every failure in their life is someone else's fault.

Right there with you. I work with one. Claims to be a die-hard LSU fan, yet is constantly negative. Yet seems to think Saban and Bama can do no wrong. Drives me nuts....

No shite, huh??? I remember when Miles shite the bed a few times in 2004 after winning it all in 2003. I mean, his offensive AND defensive coordinators at the time are both HEAD coaches at top 10 schools now. What else did the guy need to keep the momentum rolling after that '03 National Championship????
