That's not true. Tech does have a few rich folks who do more than their share to support the program, but Tech's budget is about 14 Million compared to LSU's 95 Million. About 6 Million of Tech's budget comes from the state taxpayers (because Louisiana doesn't allow our universities to charge student fees like other states). Tech's budget is the smallest in the WAC and our AD said the other day that just over 300 people in Lincoln Parish belong to LTAC... the Tech booster club.
For Tech to get to the next level... which is improving facilities, drawing better crowds, and eventually joining CUSA, they need more people giving small amounts (even if its 100 / year) and going to the games. Unlike at LSU, every person matters significantly at Tech... every single person matters to the program as to whether it will lay stagnant or if it will become a great program.

I am a Tech grad and I enjoyed my time at Tech, but that enjoyment had nothing to do with the athletic program. Growing up my father always watched LSU games when they were on TV on Saturday nights and that is who I root for now. I am not going to change just because some Tech die hards think I should root for the football team just because I whent to school there. I do go to some Tech home games because my wife (Tech grad also) works at a business in Ruston that is a big Tech supporter and she is expected to go to the games, but that doesn't mean we don't leave at the end of the first quarter especially if an LSU game is on TV. Also, when Tech loses it doesn't bother me, but when LSU loses I have trouble sleeping for a week. I can't change the way I feel and frankly I don't won't to. I love being an LSU fan. Also, I will root for LSU when they play Tech this fall.

For those of you who are interested, there are organizations who provide penises to La Tech fans, so they can enjoy the same normal, productive lives as the rest of us.
For just pennies a day you can put a smile on the face a Lincoln parish resident who has never experienced the joy of possessing his very own penis! Please consider giving... today

tech students and alums do not care about LSU. they are serious academics who are interested in far more scholarly pursuits than an inane pissing contest with a "flagship" (lolz btw) university
