Just curious if they win tonight I might take a ride up to get away from this rain.

Looks like options are through Natchez to Fort Smith, Shreveport towards Dallas and up or Memphis, St Louis and over.

Just a quick google search and I've never been to Omaha.

Major interstates and roadways, unless traffic then detour to local highways etc. IMO.

That drive up through Arkansas and Springdale is very nice. Only been one way but that was a long drive so if i was making it again I would Waze it and go that way.

Go up I-49 into the west side of Arkansas and Missouri through Kansas City.

I usually go Ft Smith to Fayettenam then on up through MO.

The shitty part is how to get to Ft Smith via Shreveport so I've often gone though Monroe-El Dorado through Little Rock. Depends on what side of state coming from. If coming from Baton Rouge I'd take 65 up through Tallulah and then on to LR.

I have taken secondary roads down through OK to get to Shreveport before. It's not horrible, but the little towns are murder on speed. Number of towns, non-freeway roads, and cops are more particular at night on speed limit. I always have regretted it about 4hrs into that trip.

Not from me ...

Depends on what you mean by "best". I'm from Denham Springs and live near K.C. A family with children would probably find it more convenient to stick with the Interstate ... Memphis-St Louis (Chesterfield)-KC-Omaha.

The quickest and more scenic route with not many 2-lane sections would be Memphis-Jonesboro-Springfield-KC-Omaha...just not as many eating/bathroom break places in between.

You had to search google to find out if you have been to Omaha??

And the preferred driving route usually depends on where you're leaving from.

I'll keep that one. Also two hoots and a holler and a left on a black top.

It probably will be just my wife and our three kids so I guess safest would be up 55 to St Louis and across? We have a place at Lake of the Ozarks so they are familiar that way. Cut over at Memphis and work towards Springfield.

And from Baton Rouge.
