I read about Cal leaving Ky….Nate Oates possibly on the move…LSU is so far behind the elite it ain’t funny. When does Woodward bring in an elite men’s Bball Coach?

Pretty obvious no one gives a shite about men’s basketball. Maybe that’s why LSU hasn’t been been worth a crap except for a year or two under Brady and Wade.

No LSU is not. Scott Woodward went out and got Mulkey for womens basketball of all things. He has shown he will go after big names. This was a clean up job. We had a huge dark cloud over the program nationally. We are trending in the right direction, albeit slowly. It wasn't like we had our pick of the litter of elite coaches banging down LSU's door. McMahon has year 3 to make another substantial jump forward or he'll be on his way out and regardless we'll be in a much better situation to make a big name hire if he does indeed fail.
Year 1: 14-19 (2-16 in SEC)
Year 2: 17-16 (9-9 in SEC) - NIT appearance
Year 3: ?
If he goes something like 22-11 (12-6 in SEC), we'll make the tournament. I think, depending on portal moves, that is entirely possible.

The fact that you think Cal is an elite coach shows just how out of touch you are in respect to college basketball. Kentucky has been probably the most underachieving program in the country over the last 5 years
