Many( including myself) expecting flott to have a breakout season but he has really taken a shocking step back from last year as he has had mental lapses in coverage and has missed a ton of tackles. He still seems to be in position to make plays in man coverage but jus seems to not be making the plays this year.

Isn’t he still recovering from an injury? Playing through it but not 100%.

It’s been obvious he was a weak link since last year’s Texas game.

A different defense may have something to do with it?

Last year he was Robin. This year everyone expected him to be batman. He is a better Robin.

I mean he’s CB3.. he doesn’t even have to be Robin. I don’t want to bash the kid but he has been disappointing

He also wasn't put in situations that mattered.

so the Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Clemson, and Florida games just didn't matter? because he logged meaningful snaps in each of those games.

there’s no regression on his part...y’all just hyping him up because of a few plays last year but forget to mention all the other plays.( and there were a lot) he got beat against the 3rd/4th/5th recievers

the love for him and ward i’ll never understand

It can be under appreciated how much it helps younger players having veteran leadership to help guide and understand the little things and correct their mistakes throughout the season. We lost a ton of that in the DB and LB groups. It's no different at a regular working job. You will ultimately learn more from the skilled people you work next to on a day to day than from your superiors who coordinate and control things. At least for me it's always been that way.

His worth last year was greatly over exaggerated

I didn’t see near the flash that everyone tried to hype
