LSU practiced 3 times this week (fundamentals) with conditioning Fri

Earlier this week he said that he gives the guys 2 days off then gets the guys back in the gym to do some lifting. They do self scouting during the first week and treat the second week as a usual game week.

Les allows the boys to live off the fat of the land, and eat, and sleep. Thats how the tigers roll.

Rest up, scheme, practice, then beat the frick out of Bama!

Our guys get a little extra rest time both weeks and they work on technique the bye week and have a relatively normal game prep week.
The main difference is the coaches get to sketch out a gameplan during the bye week, then refine it during the game week, and a little extra time to break down the opponent on film with the position groups and coaching teams.

What is Miles' philosphy for bye weeks?
Coaches recruit a few days.
Lots of self-scouting.
A few extra days of preparation for the next opponent.

According to Derek Ponamsky LINK /
LSU 1st Week of Bye is Funamentals
Last 3-4 practice days of 2nd week is Game Plan for upcoming team.

Saban at least says that Alabama focuses on fundamentals during the bye week and then prep for the game goes as normal in the second week. I'm sure if its a worrisome opponent, they spend an extra day or two on game prep though despite what Saban says they normally do.
Has Miles ever stated what his philosphy is on bye weeks? If so, what is it?
Pretty much the same. Coaches are working on Bama but players are back to basics. He said the coaches do self scouting during the bye weeks (i.e. Chavis gives his thoughts on the Offense, etc.)

He posts a lot of derogatory, humerous, and witty comments about AJ in a Tiger Rant thread.
