What is it about LSU baseball that creates the drama?

It’s crazy to me how often we’re involved in this stuff. And is why we all love LSU baseball.

The great memories and the drama just compound over the years.

Today it was a complete blown call that had nothing to do with LSU. Very bizarre.

Umps seem to dig deep into the rule book to find obscure stuff that has never been called before so they can hang it on LSU.

Great teams are involved in great games. We fell behind 8-0. Most programs would have packed it up and there never would have been 10th inning drama.

Notice LSU basketball is never involved in games like this.

Mystique brotha…LSU brings it. When everyone doubts, when most give up, when LSU is tempted, they remember the insignia on their uniforms and overcome.

I been watching baseball for over 45 years, I have never seen catcher interference called on steal attempt at home because the catcher jumped up to block the plate and catch the ball. That was very, very strange call. The hitter did not even attempt to swing the bat, there was no intention at all to hit that ball.

And it's not just baseball. Bluegrass Miracle, etc. LSU has an aura, we 're just different. Think it's the passion of our fans.

Remember that ridiculous call when LSU played Bama and the receiver fumbled the ball inbounds and he was out of bounds and we recovered and they gave the ball back to Bama ? Same shitte.

Let’s use this his thread to discuss dramatic LSU baseball…. I’ll start with Game1 vs Texas DJ’s hit….

Why would he try to hit the ball? It was a straight steal of home.

2010 Tennessee 13 men on the field. CBS put up the full screen final score as they do at the end of games. Only to comeback for one more Ridley run and the “final score” to change.

Bc technically it was a pitch, not a pitch-out. The batter had every right to swing, but he stepped out during a pitch…That was the whole point of the steal.

Do you not stand in the box as a batter and purposely whiff the pitch to protect the runner? It forces the catcher to stay in his spot until he receives the ball. Thats what we were taught.

The batter bailing out was weird to me.

The batter had two strikes already. That’s why he should’ve been out before the play at the plate.

Didnt pay attention to the count. Makes sense that he didnt swing.

Dumb to steal at that point with 2 strikes and 2 outs. But batter could have still held his position at the plate if he wanted.

Well basketball just isn't fun. Each possession resets. It's a sport for people with ADD
