After a certain point all Ws and Ls mean the same. Once you’re out the SEC championship picture
It’s great to go 6-2 in the SEC but most years it isn’t getting you in the SEC championship game and losing 2 OOC isn’t helping out either.
Sorry but Les Won fricking games. But we want to win championships and 10-3 isn’t getting you in

Agreed
I just didn't expect a NC caliber team in 2017
It's going to take more than one year to get us from a 3-4 loss a year team back to competing for SEC championships

The head coach did

But we generally aren’t a 4 loss team
And you can split hairs and say there’s no real difference between 3-4 losses but there is.
Under Les 10 wins was average 11 good and 9-8 was a shite season.
Really unless you’re scheduling a couple good OOC games a year you shouldn’t have a problem getting to 8 winsnif you’re a semi competent P5 team.

So in a world where we lose 3 in a row
We only won 9 games that year. You can’t claim a win we never played.
Not only that, a 10 win regular season is >>>>>>>>than getting to 10 wins via the bowl game.

Look at Miles SEC record the last 3-4 years and our finish in the SECW. Since 2014, he was 19-10 overall and 10-8 in the SEC.
Yes, things were going downhill under Miles. He was 2-2 when he was replaced mid-season. I think we were headed for 6-6 because he still tried to ram it down everyone's throats when we no longer had a dominating OL.

And Ed came in and... rammed it down A bunch of teams throats.
Les was 2-2 and played 2/4 of the best teams on the schedule.
What was Os record vs the other 2? 0-2 and Florida sucked that year.

Damn now this is dumb. There's no way an O coached team beats wiscosin and there's no way a les coached team looses to florida. They fired les when they did because they knew other than bama he was gonna win the rest of the games and it would have been 2015 all over again.

You act as if CLM also would have destroyed all the “weak” teams we played that year.
Look at the MSU game. We beat a team that won like 4 games by less than a TD.
You can say that all O did was beat up on weak teams but at the end, Miles couldn’t even do that.

Are we comparing now? Stay on topic.
I was trying to help Sammy baby out by telling him he is too shallow whether it is purposely or not.
He was 9-4 this year and 6-2 SEC. Miles hadn't had a 6-2 year since 2012.

I am Saying it’s not like Ed came in and threw for 300 yards every game
We just ran a healthier Guice and played weaker teams.
I think Les would have had an ugly 9-3 season

Where are you seeing 4 more losses out of that schedule?
Look you're entitled to your opinion but in his entire career he'd never come close to 6-6 so that particular outcome was unlikely.

You’re putting a spin on history to fit your narrative, nothing in your statement is true.
If O was HC vs Wisky then Ensminger was calling the plays and I guarantee we get the 3 fricking points we needed to beat Wisky. (You see how I’m spinning history to fit my narrative?)
And like I said in my last post, Les could barely get his team up enough to beat a 4 win MSU, how could you possibly guarantee he beats anyone else on the schedule?

I didn't say a thing about Orgeron.

Because I’m curious whether people’s standards have actually been lowered based on who is coach.
Absolutely but not acceptable. If O proves otherwise I’ll gladly eat crow but I think Jimbo gets A&M to Atlanta before LSU with 0 at the helm.

Ole Miss, Arkansas, Alabama, Tx A&M (and Louisville but of course we would not have got to play that game).

Quit being so shallow, Sammy baby.
Quit steering the conversation. You were discussing how successful Miles was. I agree, his overall W/L records were not all bad down the stretch but the point I made was his SEC record was 3rd or 4th best in the SECW.
I'm not trying to make this a O vs Les debate. I'm hopeful that you "fans" that are having a tough time moving forward will be able to do so at some point. Looking into the rear view mirror doesn't do much good.

Year 2 of coach O...better then last year so 10-3. if not he's not building a program but depleting it. He has no excuses for a record any less bc the offence and defense will be better. With that said I have faith in coach O he will get us to a championship

You’re always going to be compared to the guy you replace.
It’s not easy being he man after the man.
Les was compared to Saban from his first to last day and still is.
We fired Les because wanted to compete for championships, play in big bowls in seasons we don’t.
It’s not that Les was perfect, but we fired him to get better so you have to be better. 6-2 is great but we were still 3rd in the SEC and we lost 2 OOC games. That’s not an improvement.
