I remember Hilliard and James so yes, I remember those guys.

I'm saying Miles would need a top RB with the offensive line we have now.

Ignore that idiot. He doesn't have cognitive function.

Les Miles is fuktard.

Saban didn't win the title in year 2 at Bama but let that get in your way of your shitty posting habits and making up shite.

There's no need for personal attacks.

Did I say Saban did? Smart did for a team further away from the NC than LSU when Ed O was hired. Therefore, O should be able to as well. This is the same logic about the Troy loss and the no coordinator experience.

I'm just following the logic. I never said I agreed with it.

Agree - especially since the schedule is more difficult.

First, I completely agree that the 2018 schedule is very tough. Aside from 2017 the SEC has been a highly competitive conference for almost 2 decades now, especially the West Division.

People keep using a tough schedule to accept a 3 to 4 loss season and by doing this they’re lowering expectations for the program which hasn’t been done at LSU for quite some time. LSU has the talent to compete a win every game on their 2018 schedule with Bama being the only team with the edge on talent.

High level coaching and program management should have LSU lose less than 3 to 4 games next season. I promise you that the coaching staff expects this and we should as well.

What good coaches use this as an excuse? In fact, I've been told by 0 pumpers that "you can only play the teams on your schedule" to dismiss any criticism that most of 0's wins came against subpar teams or coaches who went on to be fired.

Another flawed premise. Another faulty conclusion.

care to elaborate?

if you fired the previous guy, you are expecting the new guy to do better than the previous guy.

if you do not expect the new guy to do better than the previous guy, then why did you fire the previous guy? you don't usually fire someone and replace them with someone with the expectation that said replacement would be a regression.

please, enlighten me Lsupimp.

you say "captain obvious" but apparently its not that obvious.

O supporters seem to be upset that LSU fans are holding O to the standard his predecessor was held to. if it was this obvious, I do not think there would be so many O supporters upset by this novel concept.

You're right. Bring on the N. E. Patriots - we'll beat the tar out of them!

2011 says hello.

Since we are using tough schedules as part of the measuring stick.

Because of my job I live in Alabama. Alabama and Auburn fans always feel it’s NC or bust. So when in Rome....

#metoo

Your shitty logic is nothing but nonsense and a poor attempt to be cute while trying to tie a multitude individual issues that have zero relation other than them happening during O being here.

You certainly alluded to Saban winning a title in year 2 and multiple times tried to tie it all together by only giving O "two years" like Saban and Smart.

You fit right in with the other idiots.

quote:

I've come to the conclusion that it's title game appearance or failure this season. Since Nick Saban Lost to UAB and then went on to win a national championship, and Ed O lost to Troy last year, Kirby Smart went to the title game in Year 2. That's a fair comparison for O. He must also get the #1 recruiting class.

I would hate for this gem to get lost.

10 wins or Ed O needs to hit the mother fricking road. We didn't fire our 10 wins/year and greatest coach in school history to be worse. It's beyond unacceptable.

This is a valid complaint, but we've crossed that bridge now.

At this point, what I truly desire is consistency on the field, a well-coached team that plays hard. If we lose to Miami, Georgia, Auburn, Bama, so be it. That's not dipping into the realm of improbability. It would suck if we do, but the one thing I don't want is to wonder "which LSU team will show up".

We’ve crossed that bridge, so now we have to lower our expectations for Orgeron?

No thanks.

realistically, with a first year starter, we could lose some games just because of that.
that's a myth and an excuse. First year staters, even freshman first year starters, can and do play at the highest level.

Remember, the NC game had Jake Fromm, a true freshman, and Tua, a true freshman.

Stop with the "first year starting QB" nonsense. It's an antiquated notion.

Scoob - I usually agree with you, but this is absurd.

Our new standard isn't competing for championships, but instead is now a "well-coached team that plays hard"???

What about winning? What about being in the mix for championships? We fired Miles because he wasn't doing this.

Are we now supposed to lower our expectations and just hope for a well-coached team that plays hard? This is insanity.
