I will be ok with just 3 losses during regular season.

Not expecting 12-0 or 11-1 or 10-2.

Likely expecting 8-4

Nah, I'll let you benders have your jerk session. I already said that I expect them to win every game but I'm okay if that doesn't happen.

“Ok with not winning every game” describes everyone here. Question is, what is the lowest record are you ok with?

Is that so hard to answer?

Plenty of others have done so, and most of the ones I disagree with have even given reasons for their answer.

You're wrong about that, Saban did win in his second year, the title says 2009 but it's for the 2008 season. Saban started in 2007 at Bama.

We're playing Alabama and Georgia (who just finished #1 and #2). We also play at Auburn. We also play Miami right off the bat with a pretty green QB. Sorry, Miles would NOT go 10-2. He would go 8-4 at best. Probably not even that good since we don't have a Fournette or Guice.

You don’t know this, but it’s a fair target for discussion.

Miles had a much tougher schedule in 2011 without Fournette or Guice. I think he’d beat Miami and lose 3.

Anything as long we don't have LES MILES. Greatest day in LSU history was firing that fricktard

You’re wrong, Saban went undefeated in year 2 but lost to UF in the SEC championship game and then lost to Utah in the sugarbowl.

Will not accept anything more than two losses. That is the standard set. If 0 can't win 10 games in his second full season (going on third counting his interim stint) then he needs to be shown the door.

So you’d be ok with Ed Orgeron having worse records than Les?

Win the division and/or make the playoffs. That’s been the same thing for years. Just because orgeron has lowered the bar doesn’t mean people should be satisfied with anything else.

I will be pretty surprised though if he goes 10-2 and that should buy him another year without all the bashing. So far though he deserves all the criticism he is getting.

Pure conjecture. Miles likely wouldn't have had all the transfers and seemed to monitor scholastic progress more closely.

Miles didn't always depend on LF7 and DG5.
Are you too young to know of Hill, Ware, Hilliard, Ridley and Scott?

OH here we go again, quit bringing up O as a defense.

I don't support O

But frick yes, if that's what you want to hear. Anybody on that sideline is better than Miles.

Good thread though and it does expose the insultingly low expectations that 0 pumpers have for him. It's like they don't realize how much they are degrading by trying to lower expectations to make him seem better. I can't help but wonder at what point they would actually expect more out of 0 than just 7-8 wins a year and keeping it within three TDs of Bama. Does he need a full four years of his own recruiting classes? Does he need that plus an easy schedule? Does he need all of that plus a few years for his assistants to get comfortable?

Thanks for admitting you don’t care how bad LSU does as long as Orgeron the coach and not Les.

Way to bring those goalposts all the way down.

You’re an O fan (or an “anyone but Les” fan), more than an LSU fan.
