To answer your question, about 5 or 6. Be prepared to leave early.
This. Brought my 4 yr old son to his first game last year. He loved it, and thankfully it was the Auburn game and a blow out. He was ready to leave by the 3rd quarter. DO NOT make them stay longer than they want to or they will never want to go back.
Def leave the young one at home!

At least 18
You can probably bring the 5 year old though. My friend brought his son when he was three and that didn't work so well, but now that he is 5 he does a lot better.

you see some teeny kids with Bose headgear.
I would say 3 yrs old. Before that, they are totally vulnerable.
Too many careless drunks, too much noise,
all in all, incomprehensible.

My brother has a picture of each of his kids in Tiger Stadium when they were < 1 year old. One in 2003 and the other in 2007. Really cool pictures that they framed along with the NC schedule and ticket to the NC game. As far as I know they had no problems. But they were older than 5 weeks.

There are couple of ways to look at this, but there is no way I would take a 5 week old to the game. For one, it's loud as frick and starts at 8 PM. Clearly the kid will have no idea what's going on and you will likely not be able to stay the whole game and you will have paid for 4 tickets to do that.
Even with the 5 year old, you're basically telling them they need to sit still for 4 hours, which is not an easy task. Not to mention this game features probably the two drunkest fan bases in college football and an 8 PM start.

I wouldn't bring a kid under 10 to a big night game in TS.

I took my 5 year old daughter to her first game last week. Figured if we could make it to half, we were doing good. She had a blast, enjoyed Mike the Tiger, the Band, frozen lemonade, and most of all, the piped in music. She was worn out by half, so we headed home. Ya I know, I'm a bad Tiger fan. I listened on the radio on the way home. JH not the same as I remember.
We showed up too early, making for a long day. If you take her, try to have her take a good nap in the early afternoon, and go to the game in time to watch the band come down the hill. Bring ear plugs for her just in case.

Hope you are joking about the 5 week old. If you are not I would seek some sort of parenting class.

I went to my first game at 5 or 6.
I think when a kid is old enough to stay awake for 4 straight hours without crying; they're old enough to go to the game.
