What if we actually win?!?!?!

What will people bitch about this weekend if we actually beat Georgia? And, in two weeks we beat Florida.
I 100% agree that this team hasn't clicked just yet, but there have been some improvements. Jordan Jefferson looks a lot better now than he did in the first few games. The defense is looking pretty good compared to where they were in the first game.
Sure, we don't look as good as Florida, Texas, and Alabama, but we are still undefeated just like those teams. And, I'd much rather be undefeated and not playing great with room for improvement than to have played great the first 3 weeks of the season and lost this past weekend i.e. Penn State, Cal, Miami, etc...There are a dozen more teams who'd happily trade places with us and be undefeated right now.
I think that we need to support this team AND the coach because we still have a chance to have a great season despite the fact that people are treating this team as if they are 0-4, not 4-0.
It really surprises me that people are so hard on LSU. It wasn't that long ago that we were continually a team that was happy just to go to a bowl, and had a fanbase that was crazy and supported the team through everything. Now, it's as if the fanbase has become spoiled and doesn't appreciate LSU football the way it should. I could be mistaken here, but I just don't feel like Tiger Stadium and the fans are as passionate as we were in the late 90s early 00s when we weren't winning SEC and National Titles.
I hope that we can win this weekend and Tiger fans can start to have a positive outlook on the season and support these guys through the remainder of the season.

That we aren't ranked ahead of Bama and TX

Even if we won by a point on a last minute field goal this week, I think the rant will melt down on the negative.

Total Offense (nationally) = 91
Total Defense (nationally) = 63
Being delusional is just like masturbation = makes u feel good at the time, till u realize you're just screwing yourself (old joke i know, but seemed appropriate in this case).

-RS didn't touch the ball enough
-JJ can't throw downfield
-Les Miles looks clueless on the sidelines
-We didn't win by enough points

-Tebow was hurt so that was the only reason we won
-FLA is still the #1 team and is better than us, even though we beat them
-Urban Meyer outcoached Miles even though we won
-Tebow got beat, but he didn't cry

I agree that these offense and defense statistics are not very good, but that doesn't mean they can't change. I'm sure that there were a lot of teams going into this past week that were off the charts on both offense and defense and lost. Look at California...everyone thought they were a national title contender, would beat USC, etc...and they put up 3 points with arguable the best rusher in college football. All I'm saying is that despite our team's statistical rankings, we are still 4-0 with a chance to correct all of the things that are going wrong.

I seriously think some of our fans will be upset if we win, especially if its a close game

I agree...there will always be some fans who are never happy regardless of the outcome.

This is your brain on crack.
What will we complain about if we win? Nothing, because that means we have fixed all that is wrong.

Winning ugly the next two weeks will be forgiven!
Now, if we don't hang 70 on Auburn, I'm off the bandwagon.

I think it all depends.
If we play with more emotion, seem prepared for a change, and make improvements in most areas, I would say almost everyone would be pleased with a late field goal-type victory.

If we beat UGA and UF (even without TT) playing like we have, my opinion will change to this being a scrappy, albeit sloppy, winner of a team a la Ohio State in 2002.
My concern is all about if the team plays like they have, they will probably get destroyed by UF and Bama ... and maybe the rest of the SEC we have left. If they just play scrappy and sloppy, but win, then I'm just fine with that.
Even close losses to UGA and UF would make me believe in this team's ability to win some bigger games.

I think everyone will be happy with a win next weekend regardless of how ugly. A win next week will prove that we can be competitive the rest of the season will most of the SEC, and maybe competitive with Florida and Bama. It will make it realistic that we can win the Auburn, Ole Miss, Ark games. A loss this week does not take 2-6 out of the picture in the SEC.

If LSU can beat both Georgia and Florida, then they will have proven that they are worthy of their Top 5 ranking. Up to this point, they haven't done that.
