What If? LSU vs Ohio State 2020 National Championship

What if Ohio State beat Clemson and played LSU in the Natty? Would LSU have won by more than 17? Less? Here is one YouTuber’s belief of how the game may have went:

ETA: To be clear, I believe LSU would have won by 17 or more. I am glad a lot of you feel the same way.

I don’t know much in this world but I know there is zero way that Joe Burrow is letting Ohio State beat him in a National Championship. Tigers would have won by 3 touchdowns.

That’s hilarious. LSU would have blown the doors off of them. Fact is they wouldn’t have sacked Burrow twice in that last drive as an example. fricking dumbass simulations morons.

LSU would have beaten Ohio State by about the same score as they beat Clemson.
I think they were better than Clemson, but Fields would have made more mistakes than Lawrence did.

At the end of last year nobody was staying within 17 of LSU. They were extremely dominant the defense was playing lights out. It was a joy to watch

GOAT team would’ve beat anybody. Don’t matter

Ohio state was better than Clemson last year but LSU wasn't losing last year.

Just here to give the reminder that LSU has more titles than Ohio st in the past 20 years and the past 50 years

Anyone who makes the argument that Ohio would have beaten LSU needs to explain why they lost to a Clemson team that was far inferior to LSU. They can say it was a fluke, but the game had to be close to lose on a fluke. Why was it close?

Clemson is better than Ohio State.
In the Superdome, LSU would’ve beaten Ohio State 45-10.

The margin of victory would have inevitably been even greater.

Not arguing, but asking.
If Ohio State was better than Clemson last year, why didn't they beat them to advance to the NCG?

I would say statistics wise Clemson was a better team
But I would say the margin of victory would be the same.
Why? You have to think situationally.
Clemsons offense was pretty potent in that game. However once Queen laid that hit to the back and that receiver was on the ground things changed. I think some Clemson players commented - correct me if I’m wrong - that they hadn’t encountered physical play like that all season.
After that hospital ball by Lawrence he started moon balling and sailing his receivers and looked down right awful after that play.
I don’t think Fields would have lost his composure like that.

It would’ve looked like the Clemson game, except the opponent would be wearing red jerseys

This matchup would’ve made for the storybook finish on Burrow’s miraculous season and he would have absolutely TORCHED tOSU. Tigers by 3+ scores easy. I think we would’ve made Fields look even worse than we did to Trans Lawrence.
And I don’t think their defense would have given us the first quarter fits Clemson did, they would have tried to play us straight up, “strength” v strength, and chase young wouldn’t of had the time to get to JB. Clyde/Thad in the flat and Jets from the slot would’ve feasted early. Then they’d adjust and leave jamar 1 on 1 outside and we would’ve run up the score even more, even quicker, taking those shots.

I know this - if the pass to Thaddeus Moss doesn't get called back on the first possession and LSU goes down and scores, that game isn't even as close as it was.
