Bill O'brien Proven guy at both major college program and NFL.

Proven to be a bad head coach at both levels?
His handling of DeAndre Hopkins with the texans is enough for me to pass.

Wish LSU would have hired him as OC last year. Was that not an option?

What are you talking about KC`s OFFENSE is Andy Reid`s
not EB`s.Only reason he`s getting ink is because he`s a
democrat.

I don't think Lane would take the job but he's the top choice for me.

So if we lose to Alabama and one other ranked SEC team?

Yeah, that probably isn't happening

Bieniemy has been the OC since Mahomes took over.
Sure, it's Andy Reid's offense - but he has Bieniemy as his OC and 2 other assistants as a pass game & run game coordinator.

It's Sean Payton's offense in New Orleans too, but Joe Brady can take it with him.

Probably puts him at the top of LSU prez list if he has any influence

Why do people keep saying Lane wouldn’t come here? Does anyone here really believe that? We’re LSfrickinU and the program is miles ahead of Old Piss. Why in the frick would he not take this gig and bump recruiting from Top 7 every year to Top 3? Someone said Lane + Walker Howard = Natty. Lane + Nuss or Max might = Natty. Dude is an offensive guru. He would give Saban a run for his money and may beat/aggravate him enough to retire. I really think this would be a home run hire.

In your scenario LSU's record would be 9-3. Since 9-3 is not less than 9-3 then Coach O would not be gone.

Misread.

8-4 regular season and his job may hinge on winning the bowl game. Hard to say and depends on who he beats. Beating Bama would buy him a few other losses. Dout LSU beats Bama though

O'brien had a winning record in the NFL 5 of 6 full seasons he was in Houston and managed a dumpster fire at Penn St (that makes' LSU's issues look pedestrian) back to respectability. That's a high grade guy by any definition who would be overly qualified for a gig like LSU if he wanted to coach in college again.
