Why is Keiland Williams not getting as much playing time any longer? Is it due to not practicing hard enough or not playing hard enough when in the game, or is it disiplanary reasons for not playing as much? Someone please give me an answer for this! Had to ask that is all! May even be germans sorry if it is.

And if they are not going to play him I wish they would play Ridley. He plays with more heart and he has the want to play in him. That is the way all LSU's backs used to play. But now, they play like they are scared they are going to get hurt and not running hard and not finishing their runs. The younger players just about always seems like they run harder than the older guys. JMHO

This debunks the rumor that les always plays upperclassmen.

They had a segment with Keiland on one of the shows Jordy Hultberg does on cable (how many shows does he have anyway?).

Keiland was pretty impressive in that piece. He comes across as mature, well spoken and well adjusted. I'm sure he'll be fine.

I'm not sure why he doesn't play more. I think Miles likes the bigger straight ahead runners like Scott. He's the coach, so he has to go with his philosophy. I also think maybe they bulked Keiland up just a tad to much to make him into more of that kind of runner.

I dunno. He and Stafon Johsnon were pretty much the top 2 RBs in their classes. I think he is in the doghouse for reasons not made public. If he lost speed with his weight gain, he is still an extremely pounding RB. I imagine he is not fond of Miles and staff. He'll make the NFL IMO.

Methuselah, I agree with you and it does seem like he is a tad slower than a couple of years ago. He made a run the other night in the fourth quarter and he looked like his old self again. I also think that a good back needs more touches than these backs are recieving. Sometimes it takes severals plays before they get going in a given game against a given team.

You mean all 2 carries a game has kept Williams off the field?

Think, man.

KW has talent. But, he's always run as if he's timid. Don't know if that has anything to do with it. But, I've rarely seen him "stick his nose" in there. As big as he is, he should be more physical.

Absolutely. He'll go far in life, on or off the football field. Interesting 2009 KW stats:
First 4 games: 36 carries, 184 yards
Last 4 games: 8 carries, 28 yards

That is why I asked this question to find out why he's not playing as much. It seemed to me back a couple of years ago it took Keiland a few touches before he got going. Then he gained all that weight and he just did not look the same also he looked like he was running scared, like, he was going to get hurt.

That is why I would like to see Ridley on the field more he looks like the kind of back that would be hard to get a good lick on him and he would not be too easy to bring down. I call that running with heart and desire.

I think a lot of people see this...all the idiots look at Scotts performance last year and think he's just a great back...Scott has a lot of potential but I dont think he runs hard all the time...i like all the other backs more than scott...I remember the georgia game when he broke free...It seemed like he was waiting to be taken down...then, when he wasnt, he started to run hard. I had this same argument with a guy yesterday about scott in Short yardage situations...I told him he was awful and he didnt run with a purpose like hester did...

That is the number one reason what seperates a good back from a great back They do not run with a purpose. The number goal of every back should be to not stop running until you cross the goal line. That means to keep your legs going. The other night Ridley ran that way, he was still running even when he was on the ground, meaning his legs were still moving even though he was down. That is the way Hester ran that is why he was as good as he was.

agree..

Totally agree...didnt matter who it was against to me...you could tell he was a man on a mission...Havent seen that from scott in a looooooooooooong time...you know what cures that ailment...The bench (for a little while) The bench gives you lots of time to think about things and figure shite out...Thats why im so adament about keiland playing...even ridley... I think both will run with a purpose...
