NFL combine results: Boutte finished 39th among receivers in the 10-yard split (1.58 seconds), second-to-last in the broad jump (9-foot-10) and dead last in the vertical (29 inches).

He could've erased some doubts about the performance falling off if he worked out well but he worked out worse than the performance was.

The upside, if this gets his attention, someone could have a great UDFA.

He obviously lost a ton of athletism after his injury. Was it due to work ethic or just physical limitations I don’t know.

No explosion, no consistency, tbh he was the 3rd-4th best receiver on our roster last year.

Calling him lazy for being uninterested and unmotivated doesn’t sit right with me. At the end of the day, this is a children’s game they are playing that means absolutely nothing. To some people, it just isn’t that serious.

Hope he finds that thing in life that gives him his spark back and I wish him all the success. Maybe it’s still football and this will just be a wake up call?

Edit: nah frick it. He’s a lazy POS. Sorry forgot this was the rant.

Why do y’all like tearing down the guy so much?

Trust me I'd much prefer if we were able to sing his praises during this time instead. I defended him more than most during this past season. But unfortunately that's not the reality of the situation right now. And he has no one but himself to blame

I never thought he was that good to begin with. Always thought he was a good receiver, but overhyped. The talent is there, never first round, but he needed to be humbled. Maybe this is his lesson.

This is me as well - he was never the fastest, never the best going up for the ball. He just had a few breakaway plays for a few games. I have always liked Nabers and BTJ better. Nothing wrong with Boutte, just never warranted that first round nonsense. People need to stop reading internet "journalists" and people whose job it is to hype a 3 day event for 365 days a year.

The amount of money he cost himself absolutely means something.

When he flirted with transferring Bama it showed what kind of tiger he was. Wish him the best raising his children.

He's about to not get drafted. What a fall from grace and it's no one's fault but his own.

And to the people that would like to be paid to play this child’s game, it means everything and is quite serious.

You know, like a…job.

Hate it for the guy but maybe this is his a-ha moment. We all have them. We go from untouchable in our own minds to reality in the matter of hours or days.

I don't know what his deal was this year. Had to be more than just the past injury.

Seemed mental.

Then why aren’t you in the NFL making millions? Why aren’t we ALL doing it?

Maybe he is more interested in a different job. Maybe football isn’t his passion anymore. You think he won’t have a job? He won’t be successful in life because he didn’t jump high enough and run fast enough?

I chose not to play football, also I'm not good enough. Kayshon did and is, even left school to go to the draft so I'd say that's his goal, no?

If that was the case he'd have stayed to get his degree like he originally said, but him forgoing it to go to the draft is the choice he made for his career. That isn't sour grapes from me for him going pro, I'm just saying if he didn't want to play football, no one's making him. He chose to go to the NFL so idk why you think "maybe he doesn't like football" is some kind of defense or gotcha here

Had a good year; then he believed the hype, then became a huge pain in the arse.

Hate to see it but it is what it is.
