His knee cartilage was wearing away. He was having bone scrape on bone. As I recall, the doctors said there wasn't much else they could do for the knee. He had surgery and did rehab, but the knee still bothered him.

Beat a good Mississippi State team in 2000 running behind a pissed off Stephen Peterman, Rob Sale, Rodney Reed and Trey Langley. Toefield softened them up early and Dominick owned the 4th quarter.

I met him outside the dome in 2007 before the NC. Dude could barely get up the stairs. Football had definitely taken a toll.
Side note. I met Flynn’s mom too and she said he was good to go. Everyone had been worried about his ankle. Knew we were winning it all the night.
