so TExas A&M, Ole Miss, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, and Auburn all run hurry up spread offenses because they all finished in front of us in 2013 on offense.

Can't seem to find where I said that anywhere. The point was teams such as Auburn, Miss St, and A&M all run spread tempo offenses that lead to running more plays thus more yards.

Boxcar you are throwing your bucket down an empty well. Cam is under the control of Les Miles. I really believe that he is only in it for the pay check. Quarterback guru my butt. Who has he developed. If these guys are happy with 70 yards passing a game. What can we say?

or not be outcoached on gameday every week

that's where other teams seem to make up the talent differential on us every week. They tend to try to get the most out of the talent they have to work with while we play not to lose. It's just the mindset our coaches have , it's not that they don't have the knowledge or experience to put a good offense out there.

He's had two years here. One was incredibly balanced with a 3k yard passer, 2 1k receivers, and a 1400 yard RB.

The next year had none of those people anymore, and sucked.

i'd say the jury is still out. This year could be excellent and we'd consider 2014 the anomaly, or this year could suck and '13 would be the anomaly.

Well considering we beat an Ole Miss team last year that was clearly more talented than we were. We beat murdered Auburn in 2013 and they went to the NC game. We haven't lost an OCC regular season game since Miles arrived in BR. If you are such an offensive guru, go find a job as an OC and see how you do. It's much more difficult than you think it is. Just saying "Throw the ball on first down more" doesn't cut. So much goes into it.

I saw more of an open offense if you ask me, but hey, I'm just a positiger

as am I, a positiger. I also think Les Miles is a great man and a great head football coach. I also saw a more open offense early in the first game and saw a ray of light, reason for hope. Only to see Miles/Cam revert back to a smashmouth 1960's football mindset as quickly as it (the MIles/Cam being) could. I am just afraid that this mindset will continue on moving forward in the future taking away any chance we may have had to compete for a NC this season.

Bc our defense was horrible that year. Well our offense lost us the Ole Miss game. Cam and Les got too aggressive and we couldn't overcome Mett's three INTs.

amen brother. I'll go with that. Let's see how it all plays out before jumping to rash judgements.

Can't wait for Saturday.

I'd say that's enough time to start forming some kinds of opinions on him.

LSU ranked #87 in total O on 2012, #86 in total O on 2011, and #35 in total O in 2013. Last yr. #80 after we took some serious hits in losing skill players.

You are calling out Cam way to soon in my opinion, but each to our own.

Was our offense impotent in 2013 when we had a capable QB?

capable QB?

No, LSU had a NFL ready QB
A NFL ready RB
Two NFL ready WR's

LSU still finished middle of the pack in total offence.

11 year sample tells us two things
1. Miles is the OC
2. The only time we will be average in passing is when our Defense is bad.

..

I didn't say yards per play dumbass, I said total offense, which we in fact did rank 7th out of 14 teams SEC in. I love how all you guys cherry pick the one stat we were pretty good in that year, which was ypp,. We finished something like 6th or 14th or something like that in the country and something like 3rd or 4th in the SEC west in that one cherry picked stat. Big deal. WE didn't run a hurry up or spread offense so we should have been more efficient. Plus we had 4 superstar NFL players at key positions on offense yet still did not finish 1st in ypp. Why is that? everything was in our favor to finish 1st in that one cherry picked stat. You do realize that running more plays and sustaining drives is a good thing don't you?
