Seems like we used to run it all the time a few years ago. I cannot remember the last time I saw it

Beat me to it. And I actually kind of think there's some truth to it.

You run screens when your playing a defense that you're having trouble blocking. We hadn't had that problem.

Obviously, everyone knows we have screens in our arsenal. But the TYPE of screen we can run have yet to be shown.

It's hard to game plan defensively against something you haven't seen.

I'ma predict we run at least three against bama, and between them they gain 50 yds.

JJ ran what looked like a screen to Shepard in the Florida game. It was the first play of the 2-play TD drive.

So, we'll mix it in from time to time, but why throw underneath when you can throw it over the top?

I think we will need it against bama..it's going to be hard to just line up and run it right at them like we have done everybody else!

It left town with that stupid Crowton theory of running up to the line, preparing in a stance, then standing up looking around cluelessly...only to have 91,000 scream "5,4,3,...SNAP! THE F"ING BALL, WOULD YOU!

JJ fires the ball at people with no touch. JL floats it out there dangerously for an INT. Neither QB has the right touch to throw the screen pass.

I'll tell you the play I hope we're saving for Bama: the delayed release of the back out of the backfield when $$$$$ sends both his middle backers on a blitz.

It's the one thing that can burn his "D" consistently, but most teams keep their backs in to block. All it takes is a quick flip over the line and Ware/Ford/Blue/whoever can run for days after the catch.
