Yes! I surprised my brother with his first LSU tickets right outside the stadium for this game! It was electric. I remember the crowd being the loudest when they announced Stanford beating USC! ??

All I know is the 03 Georgia game was unreal. It may have not had the loudest singular moment, but the sustained loudness and energy in that game, in my humble opinion, was and is still unmatched.

I don’t recall anybody sitting down for the entire 2nd half. We had great seats too; so much so that we could see DJ Shockley literally shaking with fear when he came in. That dude was shook!!

After this you started seeing changes in people attending, leaving early, the tailgate and overall mystique.

I think right after this it turned into “the place to be”. People who have no clue what’s happening on the field and or don’t really care started taking up space. That’s fine if we just need bodies but we don’t. It may be hard to get back to the real peak

When Tiger Stadium held just 68,000 prior to 1978, I think the stadium was louder. Less commercial interruption allowed fans to celebrate a TD, an extra point, and it carried over to kickoff about 90 seconds later. Bands played. The field was painted more elaborate. And fans followed the game. Today, the experience is HEAVILY commercialized, and TV's four-minute breaks tamper the crowd enthusiasm greatly. Feel free to disagree, but a caged tiger in the stadium, and a marching band that played often, under the lights, was the epitome of college football.

1958 Halloween night!

We didn’t play in Tiger Stadium on Halloween in 1958, but we did in 1959.

My zenith? Tiger Stadium in 1979 when we led #1 USC with about two minutes to play and we sacked the QB (almost).

LSU fans earned their fierce reputation during the 50s/60s/70s and the stadium was awarded status based on the fans.

The stadium remains iconic even though the fan base has slipped.

1995-1997 was a hell of a run. The UF game in 97 was like no other.

You had die hard fans at that point that suffered through awful years that actually appreciated winning seasons. Now you have spoiled fans even in the mid 2000’s that slowly ruined the experience.

yep, and Chevrolet? named TGBFTL as the best in the country for two years(69-70?) might have been the only two times they had that award

LSU vs Tulane in Tiger stadium in the late 80s and early 90s was ridiculous. I've never seen so much shite thrown from the stands at Tulane's male cheerleaders and shite, it was pure chaos and was simply a part of the game.

2003 was special and also very wild. 2007 may have been the loudest.

VERY hard to determine and I'm biased with my age.

Definitely 2009-2014. We won games we shouldn't have won somehow, like vs. #3 Ole Miss after they beat Bama and drew first blood in 1st Quarter 7-0, and we win 10-7. Brian Kelly got some of that magic last year but getting blown out to Tennessee in 2022 and Bama in 2024 was not the way to get the mojo/swag back.

Was just a kid for 1997 Flordia game. But damn, watching the highlights...the place looked nuts. I was lucky enough to be a student at the 2007 UF game, which in my opinion, is one of the most iconic games ever played in Tiger Stadium
