What elite offenses has Georgia played?

Not taking away from their defense because their defense is solid. But, they have only played two top 50 offenses in Arkansas St (44) and Notre Dame (47). Compare that to the three top 50 offenses LSU has played Alabama (7), Texas (15), and Ole Miss (31). I just don't think Georgia has played an offense anything close to LSU. Geaux Tigers!

EDIT: Like I said not taking away from their defense. I think they are the best defense that we have faced. I just think the scrutiny we face for being 35th ranked defense against greatly skilled offenses is unjust.

They haven't played many good offenses, but make no mistake, they are a filthy defense. Stacked with talent and Kirby is an elite defensive coordinator.

This will be Burrow/Brady/Ensminger's hardest test yet. They are disciplined and don't give up big plays.

I see a lot of LSU fans going crazy with predictions but this is the most rational and common sense thought that I think is pretty obvious.

It is 100% obvious we have not seen an offense anything remotely close to LSU's. On the flip side LSU hasn't faced a defense as good as ours, AU and/or UF may be in the same ballpark but they simply aren't as good. I think your offense against our defense will be roughly a stalemate, and by that I mean we will give up more than we have all year but I think we'll limit yall more than you have been all year. The big quesiton is can our offense do ANYTHING against your defense and keep burrow off the field. Our offense has been pretty lousy as of late and will be missing some key guys too. If we keep going 3 and out we don't have a prayer.

This may be the toughest test, but Kellen Mond passed for 276 against them. So, the ball can be moved through the air. As Saban said, this offense has no weakness. Their defense does.

Not playing an elite offense doesn't mean they aren't an elite defense.

Now whether or not they can stop us is another thing. No one has really been able to yet, and I'm not sure a non NFL DC can. Our offense has been incredible at making adjustments to the defense. I don't think this game will be any different.

SEC only has two elite offenses this year: LSU and alabama. UGA has faced neither.

LSU wins 31-20.

I can't begin to answer why, becuase I have no idea, but we did the same thing against aTm we did against AU in that we had a several TD lead then changed our defense. In both games we played tight man coverage for 3 quarters and stonewalled them (against AU we were up 21-0 into the 4th, against aTm we were up 19-6). Then, fo rsome reason, we started playing either a relaxed man or a straight up zone, adn it let them start passing all over us.

So you expect to put up over 40 points and 500 yards? If you read what I wrote, I said we would give up more than we typically do or have and you would put up less than normal.

It's not unreasonable in the slightest to think that playing the best defense you have all year would lower your offensive results compared to the norm.

Totally agree. Pay attention to social media Saturday when the game is close. LSU fans are going to lose their minds and say some dumbass shite.

UGA is a good team. We can’t blow out everyone.

Georgia will lose this game because their offense is fricking garbage. It is a Les Miles pro style masked as a spread. Watch their games. Their WR run routes that take 6 years to develop.

They play bend but don't break defense and limit big plays over the top.

Mond threw for 275 yards but threw it 42 times at 59% for 6.5 average. That total yardage is completely misleading. He played into Georgia's hands. They let them have the dinks and dunks as the clock ran out.

Also, keep in mind, A&M had -2 yards rushing and scored only 13 points. Georgia embarrassed their offense.

The idea, whether it works or not, is to play more relaxed to ensure the ball stays in front of you and away from the sideline. Removes big play possibilities and the game clock ticks down when you have the lead. When you're up 21 pts, it is sometimes better to let them have a 9 minute drive instead of risking a big play 7 in 20 seconds. That would get them back in the game.

LSU's defense kept aTm to 169 yards of offense, total... and only gave up 7 points.
Not sure why people are still sleeping on the LSU defense.

Additionally, that aggie defense that just gave up a cool 50 to LSU... only gave up 19 against UGA.

Just using this... and Burrow's 80% completion percentage. He'd be 33 for 42 for 367 yards and 4 TDs.

We looked great, no doubt. But we have shown plenty of weaknesses this year.

I think we win, but Kirby will have this defense playing better than anyone we've seen all year. It'll be in Atlanta and most of their players have played in this game before.

It'll be a very tough test for Burrow.

If we still had our old offense, we could start a support group.
