I think he gets right at 4.2 and breaks Johnson's record.

I change my mind from 4.20 to 3.96. I didn't realize that the combine is laser time. In track and field races, the runner must react to the starting gun, which takes approximately 0.24 seconds (reaction time). For electronically timed 40-yard dashes, the runner is allowed to start when he wishes. So, I am going with 3.96!

True, but he also doesn't get blocks to start out of either.

.....and this is why he'll probably never play in the NFL. He'd have a much better shot if he was .2 slower in the 40 but knew how to shift, avoid tackles and change direction. Trindon rarely made plays because every quick SEC defender on the edge took a conservative angle and just ran as fast as he could because they knew Trindon was just going to try to outrun him

Don't you know anything. The only reason Trindon was ever caught was because Miles and Crowton didn't use him in the proper way.

Urban Meyer would have made Trindon look good.

Seriously? He never made plays? Those quick SEC defenders you speak of often could catch Trindon, but he was 10 nyards down the field. He is definitely a weapon that the NFL will want.

Read my post. I said he "rarely" made plays. I don't consider a 10-yard gain with world class speed much of a play.

Well somebody could have worked with him and taught him how to set up his blocking or juke a defender once in a while when running outside the tackles.

He not a football player anymore, IMHO he will never suit up for anyone. He wnats to go to the Olympics, why play in the NFL for one year.

his strength is his start, he won't have blocks but he won't have to listen for a gun--clock starts on his movement--i think--so ill be shocked if does not break the record or runs anything higher than a 4.25

I disagree with this a bit. some players have straight line speed...others have quickness and the ability to juke east/west...very few have both.

Look back to Devery Henderson while he was at LSU. When he started out as a RB, the word was all about his great speed as he too was a track guy. But it was clear very early on that he was a straight ahead type of guy with little laterl movement.

then look to guys like Dommanik Davis or Skyler Green. both guys were fast, sure...but they both had that innate ability to jam a foot in the ground and go left or right. Think Barry Sanders in his prime.

Trindon has never once shown the desire to plant a foot in the ground and make a real move...and I'm not sure you can teach that. I think that may very well be something guys simply learn growing up, and if you've ALWAYS been that much faster than everyone else and you haven't had to make moves, then you simply learn to outrun guys.

All that being said, if Trindon wants to he'll definitely be in some team's camp post draft. not sure anyone will use a pick on him, but lots of teams will try him out and see if THEY are the ones that can figure out a way to use that crazy speed. If I had to guess, I think he makes a career out of being a kick returner in the NFL. Too much speed for some team to not try and make it work.

Ever played "Kill the man with the ball" as a kid and been the man with the ball?

I don't remember any of those guys being near as fast as Trindon. I think Russell Shepard might be a better example....at least based on his HS highlight film.....or Jeffery Demps who also has world class speed.

With such high expectations of what a "big play" is we should certainly improve on our #112 ranked offense. Thanks for your input Coach Crowton.

Trindon will be the closest guy ever to breaking that 4.2 mark nobody can break. He seriously might outpace Bolt at that distance. In every race I have seen him in, he is ahead of everyone the first 50 meters or so and then gets tracked down if he does lose. (Bolt takes 30 or 40 yards to get wound up on the other hand)
