What does LSU do in order to keep Orgeron and Wilson?

Orgeron needs to stay on staff because of what he has already done to improve the defensive line and Wilson has always done really well with the runnginback corps. They also both are key for recruitment. How does LSU keep these two guys?

Hire a HC who likes them and understands football?
but we Alleva doesn't necessarily use his noggin' on hires, so, they gon.

Anyone with half a brain would see that they need to stay. LSU needs to make it a point to tell the new coach to keep these two guys.

i dont think the new coach or alleva would release them. does anyone think wilson would take this opportunity to go after a higher position at a different school?

That should be real enticing to a new coach, administration telling them who needs to be on the coaching staff.

Yea thats not what a coach will be looking for. However, if I were an incoming coach from out of state, I'd keep those two guys without a doubt. Maybe Raymond too if he wanted to stay. All those coaches are local guys with big recruiting ties in the state. Keep them for a year or two at least until you settle in.

Abso-friggin-lutely.
Though, a point that should b noteworthy is the fact that most assistant coaches, at LSU, are VERY well paid. May not get that type of money going somewhere else.

Good people are motivated by incentives. You tell them no matter what you will be on the next staff. If you two hold it together and we finish with a top 10 recruiting class we will bonus you with $250,000 each. That will keep them around for it

You live in fantasy world.
Any top notch HC will want to fill out his own staff. Whether he retains anyone from current staff would be totally his decision - not LSU's.

So if you were hired to run a multi-million dollar corporation, because the guy you were replacing just failed with the staff on board, would you not want to bring in your own people? Why would you cook a gumbo, if you can't put your own ingredients in?
These coaches on hand may or may not be great coaches, but the most important thing for a new coach is to have a level of confidence in his supporting cast. He has to have a connection with these men. The present assistant coaches may fill some resentment if they are not promoted to head coach. They put in their time and may fill they are entitled. This is all assuming a new coach will be hired.
But I would expect a new coach would want to be surrounded by the people he trusts most. Again, this may consists of coaches presently on board, but I wouldn't tell a new coach "you are hired, but you have to use these assistants who are presently on staff." I would give him the opportunity to bring in his own staff, and ask him to consider current coaches on board.

I think if Les is gone, then Wilson goes to Monroe

completely agree, Id Keep Wilson, Oregeron and Raymond, New Head Coaches usually keep the big recruiters that were there anyway, or you give incentives..

You people are delusional. You don't get to cherry pick the coaches you want to keep. If Miles is fired, they likely all go elsewhere, and probably to our rivals. I can't blame anyone for wanting change after what I saw last weekend, but don't kid yourself, this is going to be a bloodbath.

I doubt there are any coaches that would not want to keep Orgeron and Wilson. Any coach knows you have to lock down Louisiana and those two do that.
There will be enough money to keep them happy at home.

les had jimbo forced on him
there are usually a few coaches who stay with new coaches to help with the transition. you don't want to just start over anew with recruits, high school coaches, boosters, etc

i think this is why they both stay
jimbo is probably the only coach we would go after who has veto power, but i doubt he's say no to either guy

That implies these coaches want to stay after watching an AD and fanbase completely turn on a staff for losing 3 games in the SEC west.
Wilson is practically Miles protege, and has passed on OC jobs to remain under him. He likely follows Miles or takes a small time HC gig.
Orgeron may be tempted to stay, but I'd say those chances are pretty low once other schools smell the blood in the water.
Again, it's ok to want Les gone, but LSU fans need to come to terms with the fact that you're burning the whole thing down with the hopes it comes back better in the future, and stop pretending otherwise.

Exactly how has the DL been "improved" this year? They have gotten pushed around like they are lightweights by every team with a pulse. Even in recruiting, thus far there are only 2 DT signees for the 2016 class, one 5-str (who may be questionable because of his small-school prep competition) and one low 4-star. He does have a couple of 3-star defensive ends recruited too, but.... Exactly what has Coach O done to justify the worship?
