What does it take to host a regional?

Are we out of the running for one? When we win the SECT - will that be enough to get us in?
Our RPI was 30 before the wins vs. Florida and Vandy. When we beat either Auburn or Ole Miss - it will go up again.
I think if we win the Tournament - we will host. I believe with Arky going 2 and BBQ and with Vandy losing to us tonight - we may get it??? What are your thoughts?

We were 32 before Florida. The win over #5 jumped us all the way to 31. If we win the SEC, we're still in the high 20's.
Face it. No matter what, we're a 2 seed in someone else's Regional. But that's OK because were going to trash their party!

we'd have to win the sec tourney, throw up the highest bid in the country(like we always do), then just hope

I agree with this. Outside longshot at best. Not impossible, just unlikely.

Our only chance of hosting a regional is to win the SEC tournament. Even then, we may very well not get to host. But if we can win the SEC tournament, it's certainly a possibility that we may still host. We'll be right on the cusp.

I'm saying we've got a chance as a 1 seed if we sweep this tourney. But it really doesn't matter if we're hosting as a 2, what we bat as the "away" team in your packed home park, ooohh

You know we are going to be one of the highest bidders with money.
I believe the following in the SEC will host
Florida - Top 8 seed
S. Carolina - Lost their Top 8 seed today
Auburn - Sub-Regional Host
Ole Miss - Sub-Regional Host
LSU/Arky/Vandy - Sub Regional Host - I think Arky going 0-2 and losing 2/3 to LSU earlier in the year helps us. LSU beating Vandy tonight - and if we win the SECT - I think we get it over them?
One can hope can't they?
