Happily retired.
People need to stop dreaming.
Saban and Riley are not leaving their powerhouses to come here.
Peterson is not unretiring to come here.
Fickell is likely happy up north at Cincy.
It’s Napier, Aranda, or somebody we haven’t thought of yet that is out of left field.
Also, do you guys really want Kiffin?

Let me help you:

55-26 is a 70% winning record.
(Its not 26/55 for 47%, nor is it 1-47% for 53%)

We know that his best seasons at Udub were when Oregon was down.

When Oregon came back from the gutter Udub and CP regressed.

I expected more tbh.

What do we know about Chris Petersen? That he’s never shown any interest in coaching on the east coast.

Would be a great hire though. If he accepted the job presumably he'd understand the need to step up his recruiting efforts. there might only be 1 coach in America who is better at establishing successful and winning cultures.

dude was getting top 25 classes immediately at Washington. His last two classes were top 16. Regardless of classes, his player development is even better. The amount of draft picks during his tenure was like a SEC team. Had 16 players go in the top 2 rounds from 2014-2019 with 6 being 1st rounders.

Peterson always had a complete team. Passing, rushing, and defense. With the talent LSU alone is able to pull, we'll be dominant. That's why my unrealistic option has and will still be Peterson.

Just went from 6 to midnight. Had no idea about his player development and ability to produce NFL draft picks in those numbers. Thanks for this info.

Very up at down at UW also loss 3 NY6 bowls

Good coach but not consistent on the big stage
Very up and down? He took a yearly 7/8 win team and won the Pac 12 in 3 years. Had 3 straight 10+ win seasons and won the conference twice in those 3 years. His last year he was just burnt out.

Once you get on the big stage then the jimmys' and joes' really come into play. Dantonio, Peterson, Kelly, Stoops, four great coaches that could never beat the other juggernauts. Even Urban Meyer, Dabo Swinney, and Nick Saban were pantsed in the playoffs.

With the New Year bowls, they definitely lost, but by 7 each to both 11-2 Penn St and 13-1 Ohio St.

Again, with LSU's talent, I don't see a problem. Did you remember what they used to say about Dabo before he went on his run?

I don’t think there’s any question Scotty will reach out, but Chris isn’t coming. He’s an outstanding coach. As you know, He and Sark were Scotty hires. The Udub athletic program was in total disarray before Scotty came. The Peterson hire brought Udub to a very respectable program. He loved going in to NorCal to get a lot of talent.

Peterson was one of the best coaches in football. It certainly would be fun to see what he could do with a talent rich state like La. nevertheless, total WC family guy, but the call has been or will be made.

We know that he has absolutely no interest in returning to coaching.

He’s said the stress was too much at washington

He would stroke out in the SEC

By his own account, he retired because the stress, anxiety and grind of being a college football coach was getting to be too much

I'm a time traveler.
