Pipeline to Woodward.

Lacked speed at Udub but will have that in droves here at LSU. What say you, could he be a great hire?

I know he should not and will not be the next coach at LSU.

that he will be on the fox cfb coverage next year.

Would be a great hire though. If he accepted the job presumably he'd understand the need to step up his recruiting efforts. there might only be 1 coach in America who is better at establishing successful and winning cultures.

He's one of my top choices, but don't think he has an interest in returning to coaching.

He's eminently more qualified than Lil Billy Napier.

He's an excellent football coach who would completely turn around the disorganized and dysfunctional mess o has made.

However, I don't think he has interest in coaching. He has a special needs child and I assume wants to spend more time with them

West coast guy who has spent the majority of his life on the west coast. By his own account, he retired because the stress, anxiety and grind of being a college football coach was getting to be too much.

Unless he has rested and is rejuvenated to get back into that lifestyle again, there is no chance he is coming to a place like LSU with soul crushing expectations in a conference where you are ALWAYS on the hot seat from week to week. If the Pac 12 was too stressful, then the SEC demands would likely send him into an early grave.

Would be a homerun hire
My only reservation would be recruiting in the SEC but he could build his staff to fix that

No one seems to remember that Saban came from Mich St with no ties to the south and his first staff at LSU was littered with those that had those ties

Ummmm. If the 55-26 is correct, the 47% is incorrect

One track star WR who is an ok player does not equate to team speed.

Excellent coach and I dont think him stepping down at UW was to Urban Meyer his way into another gig a couple years later.

I wish we could get a coach that caliber but I sincerely dont know he wants to return to coaching. To me, he is literally in that coaching tier right behind Saban the last couple decades, he's that good.

I thought it was cancer (that was successfully treated) and the "child" is now nearing his mid 20s?
