Vitello is just too whiny
When he goes out there every time something doesn't go his way, yes.
Mainieri challenged things too, but don't bring that up. Like when the TN runner ran out of the base path when Doughty went to tag him out.
I'm not trying to turn this into a PM vs Vitello debate. If you want Vitello, fine.
I don't.
That's why it's called an opinion.

This board has been conditioned by PM. Do y’all not remember Skip games at all? Y’all are blowing with the wind of a tough game.

He whined about all the small shite we do at home and wish our coach did , but he was on the opposite side.

Why is this directed to me?

He also blew through his challenges on plays that weren't really that close. Then wasn't able to challenge when there was a clear HBP to the Tennessee's batters back foot.

Nothing, just being extremely passionate and doing everything he can to make sure Tennessee wins the game pissed off the Rant.

dude was almost in tears after a check swing call in the second inning. Are you joking?
No I’m not joking. That is coaching. Have you ever watched Corbin, DVH, and Sully coach. They all do this. It’s called giving a f*ck. If you want a stoic coach who doesn’t do anything and just takes it’s up the dark spot every time. Maybe you should write a letter to PM asking him to stay.

Not directed at you... you were jest the last post. It was just a general observation to the thread.
We can nitpick his bitching, but it absolutely works for the team and the crowd, which is something LSU has been missing.

No problem.
Just for future reference, when you see a post you want to comment on, click reply on that particular post.
Took me a while to figure that out too.

This discussion is irrelevant. So far Vitello is a one hit wonder, and doesn't fit the historical mold of a Woodward hire. Woodward doesn't hire splashes, like Tom Herman or Tony Vitello. This hire will be an experienced, successful, seasoned HC.

This absolutely could have bitten him in the arse and probably should have. I feel like I don’t even remember the challenges he took (I guess because they weren’t that close)

Don’t mention Sully the rant is clear that the second best active coach isn’t good enough to coach here.

I would love to have that back at LSU, it’s the part LSU has been missing since Skip left. Instead we’ve had a little whinny baby of a skipper.

He taught me that teams have limited challenges in baseball, and he accomplished that by the 5th inning. I can't imagine how many he wanted to challenge over 9 innings. Every call against his team was obviously wrong. And that whiny entitlement permeated his entire whiny arse team.
Otherwise, Tennessee seems to be well coached.

Literally nobody here would say anything about how Vitello acts if he is wearing purple and gold. It's all about the fact that he is sitting in the other dugout.
These same folks complaining about Vitello no doubt had orgasms when Will Wade called that late time out on the Ragin Cajuns and told their coach to “enjoy it.”
Will Wade is one of the biggest pricks around and we love him—me included.
I’d be fine with Vitello coaching LSU.

You can’t argue balls and strikes. Unless you want to spend your second to last games as a coach at a sports bar! Aside from that I’m not defending PMs lack of backbone.

Well they are 4-0 and 1-0 so That whiny arse team is whipping our arse
