There are two things that happen for a lesser team to beat a good team.

1. Turnovers
2. Penalties

We saw it happen against Kentucky.

Any of you mouth breathers want to argue against this?

Georgia has had the luxury for ten years of playing in the east when the east was down. Always scheduling OOC cupcakes and the low hanging fruit of the SEC.

They literally just went into the west and won a big game handily.

Although what you say is mostly true.

Came here to post this. It was mainly turnovers that did Georgia in, just like it's the main reason we lost to UK.

Turnovers. And 1 missed field goal. Even what would end up being the winning field goal was because Stockton fumbled the ball on the Auburn side of the field. He basically ended any Georgia threat at the end of each half with a turnover.

It was very similar to our Kentucky loss. UGA had 3 turnovers but Auburn got 0 points from the first 2, the UGA defense forced 3&outs on both of them and Auburn promptly punted both times. The Stockton fumble at the end that let Auburn kick a GW FG was a big backbreaker though.

But penalties hurt UGA a lot more than the turnovers imo. 1 Auburn TD drive extended by a PI and a roughing the passer on the same drive, another Auburn TD drive extended by unsportmanlike conduct, and then the walkoff FG set up by roughing the passer after the Stockton fumble.

That's four 15 yard penalties that essentially led to 17 of Auburn's points, while 3 turnovers led to 3 Auburn points.
