You hear the players say the felt disrespected. I know Caitlin did the hand wave the game before, but not sure what else was said or done.

Id like to know what she did or said to Alexis. Theyve referenced her disrespecting Alexis a few times, just wonder what she did.

Alexis explained it nicely in press conference

She was not offended by what they did to USC. She would be offended as a competitor if they did that to her

If I had to take a guess, for the entire team to be fired up about it like they were, Mulkey probably showed the team how Clark had disrespected South Carolina. They didn’t guard the perimeter and dared South Carolina’s guards to shoot the ball. Even one time, Clark waved her hands at South Carolina’s guard like “i’m not even worried about guarding you.” That, along with all the other trash talk Clark did, including the “you can’t see me” gesture. I think Mulkey used the disrespect angle to motivate the team and it worked to perfection.

I don’t see why the give a shite what they care what Iowa did against USC. Whatever Mulkey did to get those girls going worked.

If Angel stood out at the 3 point line there wouldn't be a defender within 10 feet. That type of thing happens with every player that can't shoot. Watch Ben Simmons and how teams defend him.

For the same reason you hear the team repeatedly say they felt disrespected yet other than the fact they were a 3 seed, I didn’t see anyone openly disrespect them. It’s called manufactured outrage and it worked beautifully. Mulkey had them playing with a chip on their shoulder.

I saw yesterday where Alexis was talking about how she thought it was disrespectful how Iowa defended South Carolina. I have no idea how making the other team beat you by doing something they aren't very good at, is disrespectful, especially when it helped them win the game. I thought that was a big reach. If she had just said that she thought that Clark's gestures were disrespectful, I would have understood.

I just think someone needs to take the high road, instead of throwing shade back and forth. Nobody wins with that nonsense. It just makes everyone look immature.

She did the ‘I don’t see you’ thing and ‘wave off’ of one of the S.C. players. All over analyzed and reported.

She handled the post-game press conference like a veteran.

She gave credit to LSU, thanked her coach and Iowa, and said she hoped she inspired young ladies to play basketball.

I see a future coach.

Caitlin Clark looked like a stuck up count all tournament. Bitching about calls. Acting like she’s too good or too cool to play with everyone. Just seems like a horrible bitch to share a court with. Poor sport.

As far as I’m concerned she got what was coming to her today.

I’m really curious cause I keep hearing about it…is there really evidence of Clark talking trash? Or is it just the one hand gesture?
